Our tire blew out on the way to vacation, and we stopped here to get it fixed. I just purchased a full set of brand-new tires from Toyota back home that came with roadside assistance. I'm pretty sure the fi here to get it fixed. I just purchased a full set of brand-new tires from Toyota back home that came with roadside assistance. I'm pretty sure the first person to assist us was Paul, but I can't remember for sure. If it is, I would give him a 1-star rating. He was insistent that we must pay for our brand-new tire here and then said I would have to bring the receipt back to my home dealership to be reimbursed for my tire. I called my Toyota dealership back home so they could email my tire receipt again (it wasn't in my glove box) and confirmed with them how the roadside hazard process should work. They said I was being instructed incorrectly. After going back and forth with Paul (If this is the correct person, he used to live around the Nashville TN area and was supposedly in the military), I told him “Look, my dealership says this is not how the process works. Because you know I'm from out of town and won't back, I want to make sure that I'm not getting taken advantage of." Upon which he "shut down the transaction," said "this marine doesn't take advantage of people," boasted about how he is the first person to help us (Not true at all), said he was doing us a favor by working us in between people who actually had service appointments and now we are going to have to wait hours for our repair, then said he was going to push us off to a service manager, which would also take a long time because he wasn't sure "when one would be available." I told him that was fine, and my husband and I waited patiently in the lobby. While waiting, Paul stormed off around the corner and extremely loudly started talking crap about me, my husband, and our situation. He also used several profanities including the derivatives of the word "F**k." This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Not to mention, it was really embarrassing to see a grown man acting in such a way. Fast forward to our interaction with the service manager (which we really didn't have to wait long to speak with). I thankfully took a photo of his card so I can rate and mention his name with confidence. Kevin was awesome, respectful, and helpful. He was empathetic, helped us get our tire fixed, got us an Uber so we could have lunch (we literally drove all through the night and were hungry! He said roadside hazard for tires did not function as described by Paul and apologized. I told him that I was happy to pay for the installation and taxes for the tire, but that the tire should be covered under roadside warranty. He did not charge us for either of these fees, which I offered to pay several times. This was an expense I know I would have to pay going into this whole situation. Anyways, I can't recommend Kevin highly enough but would be less than enthusiastic to deal with the other guy again. Kevin single-handedly redeemed our experience at this dealership, but I feel I cannot provide a 5-star rating due to the first half of our experience with Paul. Since we did not have to pay for the tire, installation, or taxes, I will provide a 5-star rating on pricing. Even if I did pay for installation and taxes, I would have provided this 5-star price rating. More
