Checked in and they took the Tacoma on time. About 1.5 hours for the oil change and tire rotation. Yve, my technician, did a wonderful job keeping me informed and keeping the process moving. My appointment was confirmed, I took the day off from work, I drove through some very angry weather to get there, and I was greeted by Paul confirming my name and immediately asking me if I wanted to res work, I drove through some very angry weather to get there, and I was greeted by Paul confirming my name and immediately asking me if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. After asking why, his response was because of the weather, telling me that the service I was there for is done outdoors, under a tent and they didn’t want to get the inside of my car wet when vacuuming it. My question was why I was not called prior to my arrival, even an email or text would have sufficed. To be told by Paul no one could have predicted it was going to rain, I cannot even comment on. If a 3 hour service is based on the weather, there are programs/apps which could provide Gettel of Lakewood with an alert in cases of inclement weather, followed by a text/email to the customer prior to their arrival. Paul then told me if I wanted to have the service, he was not sure how long it would take, asked if I was leaving or waiting (I was waiting), then proceeded to tell me it may be 3 1/2 to 4 hours. I did ask if the job could still be done and for the first time he reassured me it could, I then said I would stay. I was happily surprised when it only took 2 1/2 hours. The outside of my car looks great, however my seats still look dirty in the same spots as when I brought my car it. When I started my car, a tire alert was on with low pressure. After going to Paul, he directed me to the person at the podium outside, who then directed me to an employee moving the cars around. She returned my car, they added 6-7 lbs of air to all tires, and off I drove. Suggestion: first and foremost, be honest with the customer. I did not want to hear that it would take 25% of your employees to track the weather and contact clients to reschedule on any service you offered which was weather dependent. Such absurdity. When the appointment is made, the customer should be informed that it is weather dependent. More
