I ordered a license plate holder a month ago, called last week to see if it came in. I was told it was never ordered. Reordered it, came a few days later, made an appt for install, drove across town, waited week to see if it came in. I was told it was never ordered. I don't know what makes a good service center, but I don't drink coffee, nor do I eat food that's been left out for people to touch. That's weird. There was neither coffee or stale food offered, so why only 3 stars. The people people I've encountered seem mildly disinterested in being there or interacting with anybody. I always feel gratified when I hand over my money at one of the local-ish chain stores that sell tires, they used to advertise free beef with purchase, but I was too young when they did that. I have only had 2 experiences with the service center at Gilchrist since I bought my truck with them. Both times had me wondering if I was burdening them. That is a strange feeling to encounter while trying to be a customer. I haven't had them work on any repairs, only service, oil change and such. If there is some excuse about the pandemic, I work at a hospital, where I have dealt with Fed & State mandates since the beginning in 2020, it has been rough to accommodate the new distancing rules, but, well, there's other ways to make a customer feel. I bought my suburban from Sunset, they didn't have GMC that Gilchrist was offering when I was ready for a diesel. Did I make a mistake? More
