My new brothers and sisters About four months ago, I looked in my driveway. I saw 2 very nice vehicles that have been good to me, but as I walked up closer to them they were almost telling me, Lee were getting old & tired out. They have been good to me for the simple fact, I've been good to them. Keeping them serviced, keeping them clean, fixing a part if it was broke. So that particular day, I told the 2 boys I was going to buy you a new brother. The fact that they were black in color, and hard to keep clean, I knew it was time to get a white vehicle. Dad was getting older, getting tired out somewhat too. So that's when I started looking. When I say looking, that's an understatement. I looked at every brand of car made on this planet. Due to the fact, some of the car's look a like I knew it had to be something different than just looks. I decided the best way to go about this was my computer. I got on line, started browsing and most of the cars looked beautiful but there were a few that had options that I thought would seal the deal. The problem was? I live in Northern Michigan. It's a great place to buy a John Deere, Case, McCormick but I drove enough tractors when I was young. So I headed for the city. I didn't realize at the time putting my info on line wanting a new 2017 white sedan that I would get every state in the union emailing me. I wanted to keep my business in Michigan because this is where I live. Not Texas, California, or North Carolina. So I went on truecar.com, edmunds.com just about everything.com So to make it simple I just spammed out the out of state dealers. There was enough to choose from in the Detroit area. I must of spent $300.00 just in gas looking at different cars. I knew that I needed a car with heated seats, electric seats, something with a lumbar support (due to an auto accident in my younger years) for my back issues. So I already made it difficult for dealers and salesmen. I wanted white, heated seats, lumbar support, full power, great on gas & one of the hardest parts were I wanted beige interior. I know I am a finicky person but appearance means a lot to me. So I must of hit every part of Detroit, Ann Arbor even Lansing area. I decided though the wise thing to do was to try and stick somewhat close to where my son lives. Just in case. In my searching, & not use to large cities I met some very different people. Some impatient, trying to sell me a red car when i ask for white. Some making me feel like I was some sort of a naive farmer. Some also very nice but tried to manipulate me by trying to sell me a car that was $10.000.00 more than I wanted to spend. Then some just needed a different career period. Then I emailed Tom from Glassman Auto Group. I always like the looks of the Hyundai Elantra anyway and Tom's emails were very informative, detailed an concise. He seemed to be nice but I never met Him yet. So I decided to take a drive & look at this White 2017 Elantra Value Edition. It had everything I was looking for. When I got there He had the car out front, cleaned up, just that alone was different than some others I looked at. So I was impressed. We took it for a ride & I could tell in a few minutes He was a honest person & treated me with respect. He didn't try and put me into a $35.000.00 car, He didn't try to sell me a black car, He had everything I ask for out front. You see, When you are trying to sell someone a new car, or anything for that matter. The worse mistake you can make with a new customer is ASSUME. You see some of those others tried to get more money from me from one sale. Ask yourself,, who is going to make the most money? They didn't sell me anything. Tom is going to sell me a new car every two years. <<Think about it>> More
