I can accept the fact that a routine 30K check up is rather expensive, what is unacceptable, however, is not performing all of the service that Hassel documented. Perhaps if the service department was less interested in selling me a new set of tires and more focused on the requested service, I would not have been stranded with a dead battery. Even though my receipt says "battery checked", clearly it had not been checked for many months, let alone during the servicing three weeks prior. After uncovering the problem myself, the official Volvo roadside assist person has documented that the battery had not been looked at for months. This only caused me time and an additional $325 worth being serviced for a new battery at a remote location. Additionally, my 2008 s80 has had electrical issues, one which froze the system and required a tow. Subsequently, the alarm goes off randomly. Hassel said they checked out the system and there is no problem. Guess what? It still goes off. There was also an annoying console noisy vibration that I was told was also fixed (it was not). Finally, what is most annoying is that they are intent on sending out surveys and asking you to rate them "outstanding" and if your service is anything less than outstanding, then please email us. I have sent an email to all of the individuals involved more than once and it is clear that they really don't care. I will be finding a new dealer and service company. More
We had previously visited Volvoville, which is much closer to us, but Hassel had a better selection so off we went. At Volvoville we were incorrectly told that the C30 would no longer be made and the salesman spent all of 5 minutes with us (2 mins of which he fumbled to find a business card that didn't have notes written on the back). At Hassel we met with Oren Gould, who spent 2 and a half hours with us...to buy a USED car! Oren was supremely knowledgable and passionate about Volvos. He clearly spelled out every step of the process to us and made sure he understood what was important to us before recommending a car for us. I had my heart set on a C30 but after driving both the C30 and S40, I decided, with Oren's help, the S40 was a better car for my needs. We never felt pressured to make a decision and felt he was honest and trustworthy. When we are in the market for a new car, we will go back to Hassel. More
My salesperson, Cary Bruce, made this a very positive experience right from the beginning. No games, no guile. The price of the car and the incentives combined for an offer I could not refuse. After I purchased the car, I noticed a couple of things that needed attention. Cary was very encouraging and stood with me. Emails and phone calls were returned promptly. Service manager Steve Janicek stepped up and did his part and the repairs were approved. The word "outstanding" is used a lot at this dealership and in my case it certainly applies. Anyone who has been mistreated at a car dealership will find the experience at Hassel refreshing and restorative. More

I saw a 2009 used S80 on line that I was interested in. I went to Hassel and spoke with salesman Richard Dixon. His patience and time was very professional. The trade in on my old volvo was very fair. So i p went to Hassel and spoke with salesman Richard Dixon. His patience and time was very professional. The trade in on my old volvo was very fair. So i purchased the car and recieved it the next day. Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly and helpful that I needed to deal with. I had two items on the car I asked them to fix a scratch and a ding on door, the service repair was done incredibly terrific. Usually my husband shops for our cars because I really don't enjoy haggling at all. He wanted to settle with the current dearlership (who we were not happy with) simply because I was way over mileage and don't enjoy haggling at all. He wanted to settle with the current dearlership (who we were not happy with) simply because I was way over mileage and they offered to provide a small allowance for the overage. However, I was determined to make it work elsewhere. Ken at Hassel Volvo made it happen for me and really Hassel was the only one to do that. Believe me I went EVERYWHERE. I dropped off my old car and came home with the car I wanted...I didn't have to worry about anything else. It was incredibly easy, the customer service is outstanding and everyone there makes you feel very comfortable. More
