We had a very positive experience at Glen Toyota. Went in for an issue with radio. Was told they would call me Witt a price . Gave them all day to call me and nothing. Called the next day, left a message for the guy that helped me. This is the end of day 3 and still no call Witt pricing on the radio and install. So I bought elsewhere. This place used to be great until they got rid of the old crew and brought in these new desk guys. I made my last trip to glen toyota service Dept. Not to mention, the radio and navigation should not break after 5 years and 55k miles on a 4 runner limited. Very sad. Toyota should replace no questions asked. Will be looking into a bronco asap. More
I always go Glen Toyota for my car service but last two time I received worse service. After my oil change I saw oil was leaking from bottom of my car. Everything was great, until I reviewed the documentation after I was home. Turned out that an additional "Guaranteed Auto Protection Program" was added at the cost of $1200, something I already have on my after I was home. Turned out that an additional "Guaranteed Auto Protection Program" was added at the cost of $1200, something I already have on my car insurance plan and would never have agreed to, especially as I didn't agree to the tire coverage and several other unnecessary coverages for a leased vehicle. After calling the dealership, the finance person insisted that the information was disclosed as one of the things I signed with the explanation "you picked what you picked." After researching online, though, this coverage being snuck in seems to be a common issue. It's very easy to write off something as easy to miss in all the things they make you sign and add-ons they ask you about, but there is no chance I'd have missed a $1200 charge solely to pay Toyota back if the car is totaled, especially as having that same coverage through your insurance is pennies compared to that charge. It is possible to cancel it within 30 days with a full refund, but then the finance representative gave different information about where it goes and how it's applied to my account than the representative at Toyota Financial Services, which means my money will probably remain in the ether at this point. It's too bad. What was a decent experience has now soured me on Toyota dealerships, all for an upsell. More
