Typical car salesman My wife and I looked at a vehicle on Saturday and was given an offer that day. We explained to the salesperson (Joe) that their offer was a good star My wife and I looked at a vehicle on Saturday and was given an offer that day. We explained to the salesperson (Joe) that their offer was a good starting point, but to give us a call next week if they felt they could do better. My wife received a call Monday morning from their “public relations” person that the salesperson we dealt with couldnt get a hold of me and that they had a better offer and wanted to meet with us to go over. My wife forwarded this “public relations” person to me, for which she had no problem reaching me on my cell. This person then tells me that the manager just got out of a meeting in which he really needs to move this vehicle and is ready to deal. She asked if I could meet that day at noon. I agreed. I arrived at the dealership only to find out the manager didnt want to meet with me but the Salesperson did. When meeting with the salesperson again, he had no new offer and had no idea about the phone calls we received. I made a counter offer at that point and he then took it to his manager. 20 minutes go by, and not a word. I then left, as I felt they were wasting my time. I received a call from said salesperson with an offer just shy of my offer. I told him that I would look elsewhere as I wasnt happy with yhe service. THEN the salesperson called my wife and harassed her to tell me to make the deal. My wife had to hang up on him because he wouldnt get off the phone. I called the manager and expressed my concern, and they were able to meet our original offer as a way to try and make amends. Will not buy another car from this dealer! More
