Easily my worst experience with a car dealership. They had some new guy, supposedly with 12 yrs of experience help me with a Ford Edge SE. I told them on the phone I already knew I wanted the car, just n had some new guy, supposedly with 12 yrs of experience help me with a Ford Edge SE. I told them on the phone I already knew I wanted the car, just need to see with they could match the deal Schaumburg Ford was offering. So I come in, they guy didn't know how to use a computer to look up his inventory so we had to walk to the lot. He asked if I wanted a test drive and I said NO. I've already driven the car twice. So he said we'd just drive the car up to the front of the lot. He LIED. He proceeded to get on the street and wasted 20 minutes driving somewhere then having me drive back. We drove back, then I waited for almost 30 minutes for a trade-in value. Not sure why that couldn't have been done during the test drive I was forced to take. They lowballed my '01 Highlander at $1500. KBB shows 4600-5200. Schaumburg was going to give me $5200. Then it went downhill quickly from here. He scribbled some numbers on a piece of paper, then wanted me to sign it and give him $100 to go try to "get a deal". That is when I flipped. I told him I'm not signing that paper with scribbles or giving you $100 or a credit card. Then he proceeded to tell me I wasn't being truthful with the trade-in offer from Schaumburg. I had to demand my keys 5 times before I finally was able to leave. I was talked down to as soon as the negotiations started and felt threatened by the sales guy as I was leaving the building. Then two days later, he has the nerve to leave a voicemail asking me to come back and be "more reasonable" about the trade value of my car. I ended up going back to Schaumburg Ford where they treated my professionally and like a CUSTOMER, they located a vehicle and gave me top dollar for my trade. Niles Ford won't be number 1 much longer they way they operate. More
We drove from WI to visit this dealership after viewing several of their online listings that were at a great price. After looking at several Ford Escapes, we decided to purchase a used 2010 4WD Escape on several of their online listings that were at a great price. After looking at several Ford Escapes, we decided to purchase a used 2010 4WD Escape on their lot - only to find out after the papers were signed that the salesman had flat out lied to us about the vehicle being 4WD (it was only FWD), and that they had charged us almost $1,000 more than their online listing price for this vehicle. After bringing these issues up with the manager, the only resolution the dealership was willing to make was to refund us the difference in price between their online listing and what they initially charged us. The employees at this dealership are great salesmen, but horrible at resolving customer service issues - we were talked down to the entire time, told that - despite the fact that both the salesman AND the manager had told us prior to the sale that this vehicle was a 4WD - it was our fault we didn't make sure this vehicle was a 4WD. And when the issue of the price discrepancy was first brought up the manager's first words to me were '(A refund) It's not going to happen', that 'Our online listings are like using a coupon, if you don't have it with you then you don't get the price'. If you buy a vehicle from this dealership, do you homework ahead of time and make sure you are getting exactly what you want at a fair price, because this business does not deserve the BBB rating it last received. Golf Mill Ford has been my favorite car dealer when buying a car. The best thing is that you got a sales person who is very helpful to your needs and likewise offers you the best price and discounts. Darwin had been a great help to us in explaining the difference between trading in our old cars and buying new ones. He gave us a lot of options and does not make us feel obligated to purchase vehicle difference between trading in our old cars and buying new ones. He gave us a lot of options and does not make us feel obligated to purchase vehicle from him. He gave us ideas and work with our budget as well. In short, he is a person to look for and highly recommended when it comes to providing quality service in helping customer pick cars because you can feel you make the right choices when leaving the dealer. He is truly a friend more than a salesman. More

I went to the dealer looking to test drive a Focus. I told the salesman that I wanted to test drive the SE, not a higher end style. So he asks what color, and I really didn't care, but said blue. Well, a told the salesman that I wanted to test drive the SE, not a higher end style. So he asks what color, and I really didn't care, but said blue. Well, apparently the blue Focus on the lot had a dead battery, so he brought a white one. We go for a test drive, then afterwards he pushes hard to make the sale. He scribbled numbers all over a piece of paper without any logic behind it, and then of course the manager comes in to make the sale. So we bring the price down, and I'm still not that interested, but said if I wanted to make a purchase right then, I wanted to see the car I was going to buy. Of course the manager didn't have any problem with that, so both he, and the salesman walk away, leaving me alone, to get the car. 15 minutes later, still no car. The manager claimed the car was across the street and the salesman took the wrong key. So finally, after waiting about 20 minutes, I got up and told one of the salesman at the front desk I was leaving. But low and behold, both the manager and salesman I was talking to were standing right there behind the desk talking! Crappy sales tactics and customer service. Avoid this dealer. More
