Done with Boucher and Ford in general In September 2015 I purchased a used 2013 Ford Escape. That was the only joyful day with this vehicle. I am so disappointed in this car and the team a In September 2015 I purchased a used 2013 Ford Escape. That was the only joyful day with this vehicle. I am so disappointed in this car and the team at Boucher. I foolishly purchased Car Care and the "Platinum" Wrap around warranty. I would take the car in for an oil change and they would tell me the multi-point inspection showed no issues. I knew my battery needed to be replaced, they said it was fine. I knew I needed brakes, they said they were good. So I would get service on those items somewhere else. They do not stand behind their vehicles and do not fight for their customer rights. The last straw was when I noticed a shutter in my front end. I took it to my local shop, hoping a tire lost its balancing weight. They balanced my snow tires and rotated my regular tires off the vehicle. They balanced the regular tires also. Both were fine. They took the car for a ride and told us it was not the tires. They suggested we go to the dealership because the warranty should cover it. Went to Boucher, they stated it was not covered. Took the car to another trusted local shop. They checked the car and agreed it was transmission and should be covered by the warranty. Boucher continued to say it was not, but offered to fix it for approximately $1,200. Called the shop and told them to go ahead with the $1,200 repair. They were baffled as to why Boucher or the Platinum warranty would not cover is as it was "clearly" transmission. End result: fixed the brakes and drive train and traded it in. I am now the proud owner of a brand new $35,000 vehicle purchased elsewhere. More
