Friendly salesman, frustrating sale. Arrived at the dealership after filling out a credit app and was asked to fill out another one. They found my information but soon after was asked if I would like to buy a different car because they didn't want to finance "such a low amount". I wanted this model in particular so I stuck to my guns and was asked to put another $1000 down and to float the rest. No biggie. I was about to be late for work so I filled out the paperwork and left. Couple blocks down the road it ran out of gas. The gas gauge is not functioning properly. OK, they picked me up, brought the car back and "discovered" it was out of gas. No biggie. And off I go. A few days in I notice what I believe to be a valve cover leak. And my power steering reservoir was about empty. So I'm assuming both are losing fluid. 2nd gear is not engaging properly. It works but it often grinds. So I think about getting them to fix it or take it back when I start looking for the title and emissions test, neither are included. So i do a little research on how screwed i am and apparently dealerships are off the hook after 3 days of a used car sale. But the fact I was not provided a title or an emissions test was pretty shady. They are getting the title ready for me apparently (whatever that means). Hopefully the car passes emissions or I'll be really disappointed and out my money pretty much. It would be great to receive some kind of compensation for this but I don't think that'll be the case and I'd hate to find out what else they do with the car if they can't find a valve cover leak. More
