Warranty Recall WTY-84 Valve Spring Replacement Concierge service was provided to bring a loaner vehicle to my home in Arlington, MA and take my vehicle to NH for warranty service. I have no means to assess the quality of the warranty work. However, my vehicle was returned with washed windows/mirrors and - what seems to be - improved clutch action. There was no cost to me for the warranty service provided - except the cost of a new oil filter. My vehicle had more than 100,000 miles on the odometer at the time of service and it isn't clear that the warranty work was necessary. If the likelihood of failure at 100,000 miles is high and no valve spring failure occurred I should have been advised by Subaru USA that a failure was unlikely to occur. I would have been willing to sign a waiver foregoing the service. I use the Cityside dealership in Belmont, MA for all service and was directed to Granite Subaru due the backup for this warranty work. More
