Thank you for responding, Joe. After the last tow to the dealership, and another extensive analysis of the dying battery issue was researched by the service department (my care was kept for 4 days), they had come up with a discovery that the installation of a recommended remote starter (and purchased through Granite Subaru - have the receipt to show this.). Granite Subaru replaced the battery and had the installer of the remote starter replace the starter. They figure this should fix this issue. I am happy they have found a solution and will wait an appropriate length of time before I give my final review of this repair. It did take a lot of analysis over the past months and am hoping there are no problems from now on. The only issue I have is that I was made to feel every time that I brought my car in to address this problem, was that" I " was the problem. Meaning, " I" left a light on, "I" did not drive the car enough, etc etc and was not taken seriously, when in fact, it turned out not to be me, but the suggested remote starter. I wish the thorough analysis was done a year ago when the problem started, and I would have been saved a lot of aggravation, time missed at work and stress that I was doing something wrong. This is my 2nd Subaru outback and my 10th car in my life, and have always driven the same amount of miles with all of my vehicles and have never had a battery issue like I have had with this car.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I could be wrong and it's definitely happened before, but believe there were multiple facets to this issue. Ultimately I think the issue was the remote start. I think it was acting up intermittently though and then eventually failed. We have previously tested for a parasitic draw and never received a reading that was out of specification. Until this most recent visit. Which I'm very happy it happened while we had it! Please keep us informed if anything changes.
