I needed a new tire. There was a bit of a delay in scheduling a time but easy to understand. The facility is beautiful. However, after driving the car for a mile or so, the reading came up as 40psi rather than the 34 it should have been. I drove another 5 miles or so to see if it would rest and then called the service department and they had me return. The second visit took about 10 minutes. Overall, not a huge headache. They were very nice but I wish it had been right from the start. More

On Wed 28 Jul, I contacted Granite Subaru for a check of our 2010 Outback to get it ready for a long trip, including new tires. I was told that we could schedule a 120k service even though I had only 111k our 2010 Outback to get it ready for a long trip, including new tires. I was told that we could schedule a 120k service even though I had only 111k miles (on their receipt they miswrote that as 114k). We scheduled it for Thursday, 7:40 AM and that I should call at 3:30 on Wednesday to see if there are any loaners available. I called at 3:10 on Wednesday and was told unceremoniously that they are open until 6 so I should call back at 5:30. I did and was told no loaners. But, when I showed up on Thursday morning they had two keys for loaners but by then I had inconvenienced my wife to drive me, I was called part way through the service to ask for other needed services (replace taillight and brake fluid and do an alignment). I agreed but after the service I looked at my records and they had done an alignment 4k miles before. Had I known that, as they should have, I would have declined, The alignment shows red (-0.10) Toe on the left rear with no other information - was it fixed? No indication. When I got home I looked through the paperwork and found nothing for the tires (warranty, etc.as I get any time I buy tires). I called and their comment was that they are only a third party seller so they do not provide anything but the tires. I contacted General tire and they firmly say that I contact Subaru, as the seller, for any warranty on their tires. Also, they were sold by TireRack, or so I was told. TireRack sells, retail, those same tires for $503 yet Granite charged $578, not including $20 per tire for mounting and balancing. I was even charged for disposal and the weights used to balance the tires. You have this hokey tag line of EXTRAORDINARY service but all I really wanted was good work, only what was needed and at a fair price. You did not meet any of those things. More

Called Granite Subaru when my dealer could not provide timely service. Granite was responsive, friendly, and impressive. A part was not on hand and I got a new Forrester for the night as a loaner.
