I purchased a used 2015 Lexus GX460 from here. I made sure I did my research on GX’s prior (spent the whole summer deciding whether to get one or not). The car I purchased was a “fresh” trade-in. I drove off the lot a week after purchasing (I’m a Mass resident, but didn’t know they don’t go to rmv to get plates right when your deal goes through). Even after waiting , I was still content having the vehicle. Check engine light comes on about 15 min. into driving the car home. I call the salesman I had worked with, Thiago. He is a good guy, very understanding, personable. He made an appointment for me with service to have the car checked out on Monday. Which i appreciated greatly. Over the weekend, the CEL came and went multiple times. I pulled the code Friday night (P0705 trans sensor). I know for a fact it’s the neutral safety switch. I bring the car in Monday, CEL was off when I got to service. Service writer Jason greets me takes my car, says I’d have to pay the diag fee of $150, I corrected him and made sure he knew I had just purchased the car and drove home with it Thursday night when the CEL came on. Guy changes his tone says he can see what they can do. I told him just hook up the OBD2 and let me know what they want to do about it. I wait, basically he comes back letting me know there are a few codes in the code history, gives me a loaner for a day. I wait a whole 24 hours, get a call from Jason saying they aren’t fixing anything, because CEL is not actively on (which I understand). I question if there was a P0705 code , he says yes. I then mention that is the exact code I pulled when it was on. Guy still refuses to have anything fixed or looked further into. I asked for service manager name and ext. he questions me “why? Why??” Eventually gives me the information, same for used car sales manager. I talked to Thiago via text, he tells me to bring the car back if the CEL comes on again and they’ll send it to Lexus or Toyota. I asked for this all in writing. Didn’t get anything. At this point it’s an annoying battle and I don’t feel like a small neutral safety switch is worth the fight anymore. I know if I change it myself I wouldn’t do a half-a** job. Btw, I’m a female, so I feel the Jason guy under estimated the fact I’m a car enthusiast and knew what I was dealing with. I felt he patronized me thinking I had no knowledge of any car related issues. I didn’t just buy this car to drive it with my family inside, I’m trying to go over landing from time to time. And with that being said, beware of what you’re looking at. Always know or go with someone to look at a used vehicle here or anywhere. My review is a 1 star because of how disorganized the whole situation was. Service department sucks. Especially the guy Jason with his catty, female-like tendencies. Go Thiago though! He’s nice and so was the finance manager. More

I had a great experience working with Granite Subaru when I recently bought my Crosstrek. From my initial email inquiry to Elisa S, to my friendly and informative in-person meeting with Kacper M. and Michae I recently bought my Crosstrek. The price for the new car was reasonable and my trade-allowance was better than I expected. I am very glad to have found Granite Subaru, and even though it isn't the closest dealership to my house, I think it's the best and the one I'll keep recommending. More
