My Tacoma is higher off the ground than the one I traded and I needed a step. The running boards are too high to provide the step that I thought I would be getting. In other words they are of no help at all. I have discussed in an email with Kristen, who is contacting the Svc Mgr at my request to determine whether or not a different type of step up is available and can be installed. More
