I had emailed and requested a service date for my Dodge Caravan. I was very specific as to what repairs I needed. Mr. Ken Knudson, the Service Manager, responded to my yahoo account, never stating that a Caravan. I was very specific as to what repairs I needed. Mr. Ken Knudson, the Service Manager, responded to my yahoo account, never stating that any of the requested repairs were beyond the scope of what their dealership was capable of performing. We exchanged several emails, so I'm sure the email I sent this to was correct and that he received the below email. I also sent a copy to their Customer Relations Dept, whose name and email I retrieved from their website. I would have sent directly to their General Manager, but neither his name or contact information were available. The level of professionalism from their service dept was less than adequate, but worse was that I was charged $98.00 when no repairs were completed on my van. With the last repair I needed last week, I took my van to a Chevrolet dealership. Their level of customer service was extraordinary. They got me in the same day, made a special parts run for a $75.00 part and had it waiting when I arrived. Further, without asking they drove my wife and I to a local restaurant so we could eat lunch while waiting for repairs and picked us up. Lastly, they washed my van prior to delivering to me. They did all of this for a total bill of $100.00, $2.00 more than what Gresham Dodge charged me for nothing. They had politely told us where a restaurant was located which my wife and I walked to, only to return and wait in their lounge room while I watch the events that are described in my email. I brought my van in for x3 reasons, each of which I outlined in detail in my initial request for an appt sent via your website. In that email, I stated that there was a problem with the exhaust causing a knocking in the rear of the vehicle, the pwr door locks were not working correctly and that they were an "after market" install, and lastly that some of the switches on the dashboard were not lighting so could not be seen at night. When I reviewed/outlined these problems with Ms. Overton, she promptly informed me that the exhaust could not looked at at your service dept and that I would have to take it to an outside exhaust mechanic. She gladly gave me the name, address and number for a local shop that your dept frequently uses. Secondly, she informed me that your service dept does not work on "after-market" products, and again referred me to an outside mechanic that could possibly help me. If this was the case for these two items, why didn't you tell me that via the numerous emails that we exchanged so I could have made other arrangments for these repairs? The only issue that your mechanic could address was the dashboard lights not illuminating at night. There were two switches of concern; the switch to operate the headlights and the switch to operate the rear windshield wiper. The rear wiper swich would have cost approx $500.00 and I opted not to repair it. The switch for headlight is entirely another matter. Ms. Overton informed that she "thought" the switch did not illuminate based on another mechanics statement that he did not "believe" that the same switch worked on his vehicle. I expressed my concerns that I don't think that this was correct and asked for further troubleshooting and clarification. She said she would pull the part from the parts depat, but later stated that the parts dept could not verify whether the switch illuminated or not. I asked for the mechanic to pull the shop manuals and review the electrical shematics to determine if there was a lamp built into the switch or not. After almost two hours with my van sitting in the shop and no one working on it, I went to the the parts dept and asked if they could pull up the schematics. They stated that they did not have access to the shop manuals. At the same time, another customer had pulled in with a similar van as mine so I asked her if her switch illuminated. She stated that it did, I found Ms. Overton and asked her to verify this which she did, the switch did illuminate. I asked for the mechanic to continue to determine if my switch was supposed to illuminate or not using the shop manuals. That's when I noticed that my van had been pulled out of the shop and the other customers van parked in same stall. I asked where my van was and was told that it was moved outside. After the dumbfounded look on my face, Ms. Overton said she would bring the van back in. I was told that the mechanic then physically compared my switch with the other van and determined that my switch did not illuminate. I asked if the mechanic had pulled the shop manuals and reviewed the wiring diagram, I was told that another mechanic was going to do that, but again my van was moved outside. Frustrated that a simple process of pulling the shop manual or reviewing the elecrical diagram had not been performed, I asked for my keys to leave. That's when I given a bill for $98.00 with absolutely no repairs being completed on my vehicle and no certainty that my headlight switch is not supposed to illuminate. I think this is a very excessive charge and would have thought since no repairs were completed on my van that I wouldn't have been charged anything. Your mechanics didn't have to perform any troubleshooting except for turning on the headlights and looking to see if the switches illuminated, which I had already told them that they didn't. Ms. Overton was helpful, but don't feel that she was at all aggressive in finding the correct answers to my problems/questions. I feel I wasted the entire time that my wife and I waited at your service dept and am no better off than when I came in, and $98.00 poorer. More

I brought in my almost new Dodge Ram Mega Cab diesel for I brought in my almost new Dodge Ram Mega Cab diesel for I brought in my almost new Dodge Ram Mega Cab diesel for a "transmission leakage". After several tries the problem couldn't be fixed and the manager (Tim) together with Chrysler warranty, decided to replace it with a new one (In a box). After replacing it, got home and next day I found out this was a broken one. Got it back to the Gresham Dodge and they said that there was a defected solenoid. All fixed, they said. It was not fixed. I Went back and Jim said the original problem was not the transmission but a loose hose clamp from the cooling system and the "new transmission in a box" was actually a used one. Now I got stuck with a broken transmission on my $45,000 truck. How can I trust these people? They lied to me, I will never go back there again. More
