We wanted to clarify that you were charged solely for the diagnosis and the replacement of the broken door keyless entry pad, as per your initial authorization. Our service advisor had mentioned upfront the possibility of additional repairs due to potential water intrusion and trunk issues. However, as it turns out, no further problems were found after replacing the door key pad. Therefore, there were no additional costs incurred. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are committed to transparency in our service. You indeed brought your own keys for programming, and we made every effort to assist you in getting them to work with your vehicle. Our technicians and Service Manager went above and beyond to program the keys you provided. However, despite our best efforts, the key fobs could not be successfully programmed, even after testing and reprogramming attempts. We understand that this can be frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. It's important to note that the key fobs you brought in were not purchased from our dealership or from Ford. When parts are sourced externally, we have limited control over their compatibility with your vehicle's system. Had the key fobs been purchased through us or a Ford authorized dealer, we would have been able to provide further assistance and support, as we stand behind the quality and compatibility of the parts we supply. In an effort to help you, we did not charge you for retrieving and programming your door code, which you requested. We understand the importance of this service for your convenience, and we were pleased to assist you with it at no additional cost. While we strive to provide comprehensive assistance to all our customers, we must acknowledge that when non-standard or third-party parts are involved, it can be challenging to ensure their compatibility.
