I was on the verge of buying my third car from Groove Subaru. I’ve been a loyal customer and have had decent experiences in the past—but this time, the dealership completely failed me. They provided a full deal sheet with a $25,000 trade-in/payoff value on my 2024 Solterra lease. I called to confirm because I had a different number from my lender. Paul, the sales manager, personally told me that $25K was the correct payoff, not the $41K from my records. He even said, “If it turns out to be a mistake, I’ll own it.” Well, it was a mistake—they ran the wrong VIN. When it came time to “own it,” they refused to honor the deal they gave me in writing and confirmed over the phone. No accountability, no integrity—just an attempt to shift a $16,000 difference onto me like it never happened. This wasn’t a simple oversight—it was a bait-and-switch, plain and simple. Groove Subaru misrepresented the numbers, backed it up with verbal assurances, and then walked away when the truth came out. After two previous purchases, I expected honesty and professionalism. Instead, I got deception, runaround, and a complete lack of ethical business practices. I will never return to Groove Subaru, and I strongly urge anyone reading this to proceed with extreme caution. Get everything in writing—and don’t count on their word meaning anything. More

I purchased a used Subaru from this dealership in November of 2024. At this dealership, used vehicles only have a two month warranty, so when your car breaks down on the side of the road two weeks after the warranty runs out, you have to pay for the repairs. The dealership did not respond to my email about the issue. The dealership was aware that the repairs needed to be done (shop it was taken too said the repairs needed were/are obvious), did not disclose it, and was unresponsive. I would take great caution if purchasing from this dealership. I feel like I just threw away $9,000 (repairs are $4,500) and I wish I purchased at a dealership that is more trustworthy that has a longer warrantee period. More

I was rushed through financing and delivery of my vehicle. The sales man had nothing to say about the Nick's and dings I noticed the next day when I picked up the car. The has been an issue with the RAB and Eyesight feature two days after I picked up the car. I left a message on my salesmans phone to see if he knew how to reset the system and never received a call back. He never went over the car and how it works like I've been accustomed to. Pretty sad. It's usually been a very great experience. More
I was not going to leave a review, but I have received more than one email asking me to. I seldom leave negative reviews. So, here was my experience. I had a wonderful experience with Moe when choosing more than one email asking me to. I seldom leave negative reviews. So, here was my experience. I had a wonderful experience with Moe when choosing and purchasing a car. He was polite and knowledgeable, and I felt I could trust his professional opinion. I felt I could ask him as many questions as necessary, and if he did not have an answer for me, he found someone who did. I really, really, appreciate his help. However, I ran into several issues when dealing with the finance department, specifically with Mai. She would not tell me outright what I was paying for, did not give me the time to read my contract and when she did, she spoke the whole time. She kept insisting she was "giving me" a maintenance package, which I repeatedly denied. She then offered multiple times--insisted, even--that she call my parents to explain "what a great deal" she was getting me. These conversations became increasingly frustrating, and at that point it was dark out and I had been there for at least five hours. She would speak over both me and my parents, and when they would try to speak, she would roll her eyes at me and throw her arms into the air or hit her desk. This being the first time I have purchased a vehicle from a dealership, I felt that I was being backed into a corner to say yes to everything to make her life easier. She also continuously insulted my father to my face, both while she was on the phone with him and after they hung up. I can understand how relaying things in a stressful situation over the phone can be frustrating, and while I appreciate that she offered to call my parents to help, she really should not have if all she was going to do was escalate the situation and make things personal. Regardless, she looked me in the eye and told me I would be paying NOTHING for the maintenance package, which she only called "some services" and would threaten to raise my APR if I did not sign that paper. I asked her, repeatedly and in plain terms, if this would cost money, to which she said NO. Surprise! I had an early flight to see my family for the first time in a year the very next morning, so when I landed I reviewed my paperwork in more detail. It was then that I realized the "services" ended up adding $800 to my loan and was NOT required for the purchase of my vehicle. This began a very tedious back and forth between me, Mai, and my parents, all of which have been told different things. This not only cost hours of my only five days to see my family in the year, but tears and frustration of not having someone just clearly state what I was paying for. In the end I had to go back and spend another afternoon at the dealership to terminate the maintenance contract. Mai was extremely unprofessional, VERY rude, and I will never be returning to Groove Subaru. I want to stress that Moe was in no way a problem, and if anything he saved the sale with his reassurance and professional demeanor when things got stressful. I greatly appreciate how he maintained open and honest communication with us, and Mai should take a page from his book. More
