I do appreciate the help of the manager, as he actually gave a solid response and solution. And the sales guy helped as much as he could. The hassle for the simplest of things was a little ridiculous. I chose this dealership because it had great reviews. Their used car warranties are great. The sales guy was very nice, as well as other staff. Paperwork and everything went by fairly quick. After it was all signed, their customer service changed drastically. Getting in touch with anyone was a chore. I don't mind waiting to speak to someone, but being transferred repeatedly and even to another branch of the dealer (Toyota) is laughable. Maybe they were short staffed, or really busy, who knows. I was not as lucky as the other people who had a 5 star experience. It's a decent dealership, it just that after you buy the car, don't expect the great customer service you received whilst shopping. Look closely at any paperwork for anything they squeezed in last second. And if you want to finance through a credit union, it's possible. In the beginning, everything went fine, at least I thought. This was my first car purchase, and I had heard stories of dealerships "scamming" or "swindling" people. I was determined to not be one of those people, yet I overlooked some things anyways. I let my excitement over buying a dream car of mine get to me apparently. First, they said they don't think they use Colorado credit unions for financing, but could check anyways, after we asked multiple times. We NEVER got the promised call back on the other loan options, and I don't believe they ever ran them. I had accepted that my APR wouldn't be very low with it being my first finance and a used car(even though I have a good credit score), and settled, figured I would refinance. Turns out, our credit union does finance through them, and what do you know? They offered HALF of the APR the dealership got with Wells Fargo(7.99%). And a longer loan if I want it. I found a review about this dealership giving a hard time about outside party lenders, and unfortunately didn't see it initially due to it being "buried" in the good reviews. Come to find out through a friend who works at a dealership, that typically, if they get you signed with their lender, that person gets a good incentive. Whether that was their intention or not, I'm not sure. It looks that way though. Another red flag, they pulled my score and my dads (transunion, which was odd to me) and they were identical, and lower than what was stated on our credit reports. I pay for my credit score updates monthly and it was not accurate. They said the apps aren't always correct/up to date, so I believed them. The score difference was 50 points lower for me, and around 10 for my dad. Not going to make a huge difference, so I brush it off. Then there's the work order that happened before my purchase. I didn't think to double check specifics since the mechanics work on Subaru's for a living, you would hope they know what they're doing. I look closely and find that they use 0w-20 in my car(WRX), that calls for 5w-30, never 0w-20. And the "new" wipers are rusty and crumbling. I call, get transferred back and forth for nearly 40 minutes, and in that time they transferred me to Groove Toyota twice. Then told me the mechanic on the work order doesn't exist. What?! I finally stop the person(person #5 or #6 maybe? I stopped counting.) that is about to transfer me to who knows where, again, and say "Look. I just need to find out if this is what they actually used and to find a solution(free oil change). I know it's the wrong oil, please stop transferring me, I need to talk to someone who can help me.". They finally find the mechanic(who does exist but goes by their nickname), and they accidentally hit the wrong oil when filling out the work order. It took 40 minutes, to find out they made a typo. Windshield(broken before purchase), took a while to get replaced, and I had to call ABRA to do so. ABRA tells me the dealership should have called them. Not a big deal. This part, I definitely should have caught. I read through the contracts I signed and missed some big details in tiny print. Maybe it was because it was late, or because the person helping us was talking every time I started reading. I don't know, my mistake. I was charged for interior and exterior protection($499), which I declined, and still didn't receive. It would have been pointless as the exterior needs some serious detailing due to neglect, and minor body work. And a 5 year windshield warranty($499), that the sales guy said I would not be paying for. One of the managers(who's name I don't recall), helped us after some more phone tag before asking for a manager(which I hate to do), and refunded that money. All in all, this was a disappointing experience. Again, I appreciate the manager and the sales guy for their help. More

I had been eyeing the 2019 Crosstrek for a while leading up to our move. I downloaded the "TrueCar" app once we settled in and this set in motion the best buying experience I could ask for. Andrew Smith with Groove Subaru called me about 15 minutes after going through the TrueCar experience. Fortunate for me, this dealership was the best deal and the closest to my new house. We set up an appointment a couple days later and the rest is history. Andrew was beyond helpful. I knew what I wanted and he was not pushy on any additional packages. We ended the experience with Josh Federico and he was equally as great, very helpful and knowledgeable on everything a new car buyer would need. 10/10 experience with Groove Subaru. Highly recommended. And if we buy another Subaru in the future, you better believe this is where I'll be going. Thank you Andrew and Josh! More
