I took my truck in for repairs, and it has now been in service for over six months without a resolution. Despite multiple visits, the issue has not been properly diagnosed or fixed. On four separate occasions, I was contacted to pick up the vehicle, only to experience the same problem immediately after leaving the dealership, which required me to return it again. Although I was informed each time that the diagnostics identified a different issue, the underlying problem has remained unresolved. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the troubleshooting process and the level of technical expertise being applied. Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. I expected a higher standard of service, particularly from a GMC dealership. There is a clear need for more experienced and qualified mechanics who can accurately diagnose and repair vehicles rather than relying on trial and error. This has been my worst experience with both a GMC vehicle and the Westside Group 1 dealership service department. More
Extremely poor communication with the customer. I never once received a call from the dealer letting me know how my car was doing. Overall great communication with Andy. We had difficulty reaching his supervisor Octavio. We left a call and never heard back. Staff and service was exceptional! ! We were traveling through from PA and developed an issue with our canyon pickup. They for us right in and on our way the same day. An impressiv ! I left my truck their for a week, because the air conditioner wasn’t working correctly during hot times and the sun visor clip was not keeping the visor in place anymore. I was given a text message saying if I needed to talk to Carlos, the person that took my truck in, I could text and that he would reply, they also texted me a text where I could see the status of the vehicle but it rarely moved or did any thing, so it was not very useful. I used the text to contact Carlos, but I never received a reply. I had to call the service desk twice and get Carlos on the line to tell me what the situation was. The second time I called he told me he thinks the truck was ready, which led me to think how long has my vehicle been sitting there. He put me on hold and returned and said I could pick up the vehicle in 5 mins. I went over to pick up my truck and the service desk gave me a print out of everything, basically telling there nothing wrong after all their test. They also wanted to charge me 113 dollars to fix the sun visor clip. I thought bumper to bumper warranty was bumper to bumper but apparently it only covers the mechanical and electrical parts of the vehicle, so the sun visor clip is not included in a vehicle I paid over 60,000 dollars for. Lesson learned. On the print out it also had some comments about the tires and the alignment, balance, and rotating. You would think Carlos would have took his time to explain these items to me, but he didn’t even try to. I left thinking all the money the consumer makes for these places and they don’t even try to help you out. More
