As a long time Ford girl owning 7 Fords to date, it is sad to report such an awful experience with a dealer service that I am now looking to buy a different make of vehicle and referring people away from sad to report such an awful experience with a dealer service that I am now looking to buy a different make of vehicle and referring people away from Gullo Ford. Gullo Ford of Conroe installed new brake pads and rotos. Upon completion, there was severe vibration through the steering wheel (did they even do a post install test drive?). I brought it back to them to fix. They did not replace the rotors under warranty; instead they said that they machined the new rotors (which can only be done once in the life of rotors, so may shorten the life of the new rotors), but the severe vibration was still there (again, did they test drive it, or think I wouldn’t call them out?). I had no confidence Gullo would get it fixed right the 3rd time, so I brought it to a dealer service in another state that was trustworthy. That dealer found that the rotors were warped and said that Gullo should have replaced the rotors under warranty when I returned the vehicle. That dealer also identified that there was no evidence that Gullo had machined the rotors as was stated on the receipt from the return visit, which would be fraud. That dealer called Gullo to ask if they would cover the cost of repairs (it took 5 phone calls for the Gullo Service Manager to accept the call through the receptionist); Gullo admitted they should have replaced the warped rotors they installed, but refused to cover the costs of repair. So after paying >$1200 for the brakes initially, I had to pay $500 to have the new rotors machined. Gullo Ford has ruined my Ford fandom. And it is disappointing that Ford corporation is not managing the quality of service at its dealers. More
The dealership has always been fantastic. l have been a Ford man for most of my life, but I have also owned a Chevy, a Pontiac, and a Dodge Charger at one time. But I always returned to the f l have been a Ford man for most of my life, but I have also owned a Chevy, a Pontiac, and a Dodge Charger at one time. But I always returned to the fold. The Car is very good; reliable, economical, fun to drive. It has a few bad points, the biggest being blind spots, and a dash board that disappeared due to lack of lighting in bright sunlight. Other than that, no too shabby. One other thing; being 'elderly', I am used to being able to work on my car. My 1966 Mustang had an owner's manual about 1/4 " thick, and you could almost rebuild the car with it. T Edge's manual is handbound, almost 3/4 " thick, and loaded with does and don'ts, warnings, cautions, and advisories. I fixed Airplanes for a living. when I open the hood on my edge , I make sure the engine is still there, and then close it. Ahh, the good old days. Thanks for letting me vent. Hope it gets posted. Brought my truck in for rough riding and stalling intermittently and they guessed it could be spark plugs. Had them replaced and less than a week later my truck broke down on side of road. Mobile mec intermittently and they guessed it could be spark plugs. Had them replaced and less than a week later my truck broke down on side of road. Mobile mechanic came to me and showed me where they broke the air hose/vacuum and SUPERGLUED IT BACK ON. It is broken and pictures of the superglue around the hose where broken were provided. Now, they say they will not repair the hose since it was a service tech that has been there for 25 years that serviced my vehicle. They are the only ones that serviced my vehicle and I definitely didn't put super glue on my own vehicle. Shame on them! Rick called me back and when I tried to call back missed call, they told me he was not available. Mobile mechanic said they probably didn't think I'd look under the hood to see what they had Bandaided. Still haven't heard back from anyone in management. They refuse to fix their flub. More
This is the second time I've worked with Waseem on a service issue. Both times the service and communication was great. On one occasion even tracked down a hard to find part for me and got my truck repa service issue. Both times the service and communication was great. My 2022 F150 had a check engine light with a code related to the Catalytic Converter. I arrived (without an appointment) at Gullo Ford Monday Morning. I was greeted by Waseem Elh elou. Waseem said that with to the Catalytic Converter. I arrived (without an appointment) at Gullo Ford Monday Morning. I was greeted by Waseem Elh elou. Waseem said that without an appointment the wait would be 24 to 48 hours before my truck could be inspected and diagnosed. As I had no ride, and my wife was recovering from surgery I would have had to call an Uber. Waseem said that they would be happy to take me home (22 miles west of Conroe) and that would be fine. I received a text from Waseem on Wednesday that both cats had been replaced under warranty and that they would chase down the two electronic gremlins I had asked about the following day. Late Thursday afternoon Waseem contacted me and said that all issues had been fixed and the truck was ready. I still had no way to get to the dealership and asked for a shuttle. I was COMPLETELY AMAZED that Gullo would deliver my vehicle to me on Friday at no charge! At the appointed time my truck arrived all repaired. Full disclosure I have not used Gullo Ford service in more than 25 years but my preferred service center is now set to GULLO Ford on my Ford Ap! Thanks Waseem Elhelou for taking great care of me and my F150 Power Boost! More
