STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! !!! I actually OWN a dealership back in NY. Unfortunately I had to take my truck in for warranty repair and body damage from a hit and run acciden !!! I actually OWN a dealership back in NY. Unfortunately I had to take my truck in for warranty repair and body damage from a hit and run accident while we were in Texas. I called Gunn and got on the phone with Dale Fischbach in service. I explained that I was coming there from over 125 miles away because their dealership has both a service department and collision department. I had a 3 way conversation with Dale and Hector Garcia in the collision department. I explained that I was dropping the truck off with both service work and body work and that they needed to coordinate between themselves to get both body parts and warranty service parts coming so we were not waiting for parts to come. They both agreed and an appointment was made almost a MONTH out! I asked Dale if he could get a loaner for me and he said it would be no problem since the appointment was so far in advance. I called Dale the day before the appointment to verify a loaner was available and he acted like he didn't remember me at all and said no loaner but he assured me he would have a car from Enterprise rental. I drove the 125 miles up and met Dale and no car was waiting. He called Enterprise and luckily they are right up the street and they had someone to bring a car. I reminded Dale of our conversation regarding getting both service and body work done at the same time. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I walked next door and spoke to Hector in the body shop and told him again that the truck is up in the service department and he said he would get it taken care of. I had also emailed Hector the estimate from Geico a month earlier when we spoke on the phone and he verified receipt of that estimate. Info about the truck: 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 AT4 with 29k miles Warranty work: Front grille chrome is peeling off. Right front headlight has water in it. 110v outlets in the cab and in the box are inop. Body work: Fix damage on left box side. Estimate from Geico includes replacing box side with new OEM panel. GM covered the rental for the first week while the service department waited for the headlight and grill to show up. (I was happy with this). After 17 days and multiple calls to Dale and Hector I realized that they are both completely incompetent. Dale never got the truck to the body shop (100 feet away) and Hector is a complete xxxxing idiot. Not only did he never order the parts on the estimate from Geico, but he never sent anyone to look at the truck (100 feet away) to verify damage and potentially order any supplemental parts. After my truck was at the dealership for 17 days, Hector called me and told me the side panel was on backorder as of YESTERDAY. Why the xxxx are we even talking about this right now???? Why the xxxx did you not DO YOUR xxxxING JOB??? I made it abundantly clear that the truck was next door at the service department and he needed to send someone to look at it and get the xxxxing parts ordered! So now after 17 days this xxxxHOLE dealership wants me to pay the additional $600 for the rental car...not to mention driving a total of 500 miles back and forth to drop off the truck and pick it up. So I go to pick up my truck... The entire left side is covered with green and red paint marker where the body shop must have made marks and did a xxxx poor job of cleaning it off. The spare tire lock is missing and the cable is hanging and hitting the ground. The inside of my truck is a mess where the technician tore apart the rear seat to gain access to the tools for lowering the spare tire. (The left rear wheel was damaged in the accident and was on the estimate from Geico). I had to pay $291 for the body shop to release the truck to me... $135 for a vehicle diagnosis?? Are you xxxxing kidding me??? FOR WHAT??? YOU DIDN'T EVEN ORDER THE xxxxING PARTS! $156 for the wheel repair. (By the way...looks 👍) So I bite my tongue and pay. As soon as I get in the truck I test the 110v outlet and it More
***CONTINUED*** So I bite my tongue and pay. As soon as I get in the truck I test the 110v outlet and it still doesn't work. Now I'm xxxxing livid. I drive over and park in the service lane a As soon as I get in the truck I test the 110v outlet and it still doesn't work. Now I'm xxxxing livid. I drive over and park in the service lane and explain the situation. The advisor tests the outlet and guess what...it's not working...just like I xxxxing explained on the REPAIR ORDER. TECH NUMBER 750 RAFAEL RODRIGUEZ IS A xxxxING MORON AND I WOULD xxxxING FIRE HIM IF HE WORKED FOR ME. It literally states on the xxxxing repair order "A/C outlet in dash does not work" "THE LIGHT COMES ON BUT IT DOESN'T WORK" TOO xxxxING STUPID TO USE A METER AND CHECK FOR VOLTAGE? Dale LIED to me and told me "they tested the outlet with an extension cord" . What the xxxx? What the xxxx does an extension cord show you? xxxxing IDIOT. I asked to speak to the GM and he was not available. I spoke to the service manager and he couldn't believe what I had already been through. He put me on the phone with his boss while we were all in the office and his boss basically told me to go xxxx myself and that they wouldn't cover the rental let alone any other expenses I had incurred. My qualifications: I own a car dealership. I am an ASE master technician with over 30 years of experience. I have 3 college degrees including one in Automotive Science and two others in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. I have over 60 GM STG certifications. I worked as an A-level tech at a Chevrolet dealership for 9 years before opening my own dealership. The level of incompetence at Gunn GMC is overwhelming. The only thing you accomplished in 17 days was replacing one headlight, the grille, and refinishing one wheel. **On top of all of this, the technician damaged the fender when replacing the headlight. I will attach 2 videos to this message below. The first video shows a man on youtube replacing the headlight on his 2021 GMC Sierra 2500. He fails to remove the lower trim piece and instead he bends it out of the way. You can clearly see the damage to his fender that match the damage on my fender from the mounting points being stressed. Watch his video starting at the 24 minute mark. My video clearly shows the damage to my fender. https://youtu.be/nVSrOOLMTLw?feature=shared https://youtube.com/shorts/CSW_c0vXWAs?feature=shared GM customer complaint has been started. My salesman Ben did not owner his word on a second remote! Long story short, they told me to have a dealership in my area order one and they would take care of it just send the invoice to us from the remote! Long story short, they told me to have a dealership in my area order one and they would take care of it just send the invoice to us from the dealer that ordered it. Did what they instructed and still no response. In order to get my truck back from the dealer I had to pay it!!! I cannot stand being ignored and lied to. I left several messages with the salesman and the dealership and nothing!! Rating would have been much different if you have honored your word. Jason More
