That said, this is what happened: I've researched and shopped around for our new Kia Niro Hybrid LX with the LX Advanced Technology Package. Gunther had it in the color that I wanted. Even though they were further away from home, I went there to check the car in the morning. I drove it, I liked it, they wanted to close the deal but I was only the driver and left after one hour of conversation about "the numbers". Talked to my wife, she agreed to drop by and close the deal if they were reasonable. By night we went there and took us two hours and a half to leave the deale with the car. Of course, not paying the price that we would like to, but the price we could afford. They were happy and we were sort of ok with the situation. Why? Because we leased the car and only when we were signing the papers they told us they had an insurance for excessive wear and tear that we could buy and would cover tires, and almost any regular damage in the car. That wasn't at the negotiation table and at the price we were ok with. That they didn't sell us with the negotiation, only after we agreed on the final price of the car. And that is why the 3 stars. That said we then received all the paperwork and the keys. The car had few marks of oily dirt around that could have been gone if washed properly. Also, some plastic protective stickers were on the fog light and on a button on the panel and on the glove box. Besides all alert ones that I was ok to take myself so to read before taking it out. The sale technique taught at dealers need to change because you either adapt to the times and sell the car in less than 45 minutes or people will be fed up. We buy everything at home and have it delivered. Cars are now into this trend. You now need to find a way to have the client to go to the dealer or people will prefer to buy online and pay the premium for not to have to deal with this long time to "negotiate". More

Took as much time with me as I needed and explained all details of lease procedure. Gave me options on vehicles and explained each of them. Joshua Clinton the sales manager was exceptional as well. We discussed the costs and the alternatives. He was extremely on board listening to me with any of my concerns or questions. We were able to negotiate a fair price for the vehicle I selected. Also, there was an issue I discovered the night I took possession of the car. The issue was with the headlight direction. Jasmin referred me to the service department where I met Bill Garcia. He looked at the problem and immediately said "no problem" we"ll get it fixed right away. He did. More
Pleasantly surprised! Car shopping has never been top of my list of fun activities but the Sales Team at Gunther were great to deal with and very efficient . Commitment not delivered On Saturday, November 10, 2018, I met with Alan Slakman, salesperson for Gunther Kia In Ft Lauderdale, Florida to discuss the end of my 2016 Kia Forte On Saturday, November 10, 2018, I met with Alan Slakman, salesperson for Gunther Kia In Ft Lauderdale, Florida to discuss the end of my 2016 Kia Forte lease. I was offered another lease contract with the proviso that I did not need a cash payment except for transfer of tags. I still had three months on my lease and did not have to make any changes at the moment. However, Alan wanted to make the deal immediately, therefore Kia agreed to take care of the two remaning payments due on my 2016 lease. My new payment on the 2018 lease of $291.99 was based on my previous monthly payments of $236 plus $2,000 in lieu of my original down payment spread out for 36 months - $55.56. That was the agreement with Alan. However, at the lease signing with Pablo, the first monthly was included along with the Tags for a total of $541.99 cash payment immediately. Alan had clearly stated that the 1st monthly payment was due December 10th. In addition, the lease clearly states my insurance was transferred to the 2018 KIA immediately. I left the dealership a little dissatisfied that it had cost me $541 however, with the understanding that no more payments were due. Several days later, in discussion with my insurance agent, I found that the insurance was not transferred and that my insurance agent’s phone number on the lease was not his. I called the number on the lease and it was for “State Farm Insurance” instead of “Allstate” - my insurance. On November 18, 2018 I received a letter from KIA Finance, my old finance company, demanding a payment of $778.24 for two monthly payments on the old lease plus excessive wear and use. Besides the two payments, there was a clear agreement that KIA was completely satisfied with the great condition of the car that only had approximately15,500 miles. Clearly this matter needs to be revisited with urgency and resolved immediately. More
Purchasing my three-year Kia soul Purchasing my three-year Kia Soul. I leased a Kia Soul in July, 2015 for 3 years. Due to a temporary medical issue I Could not drive on highways so Purchasing my three-year Kia Soul. I leased a Kia Soul in July, 2015 for 3 years. Due to a temporary medical issue I Could not drive on highways so I was not able to take long trips such as Davie to Marco Island. Anyway, in May, 2018 I returned to Gunther Kia to find out my options. Since I had only 7,000 miles on my vehicle I decided to purchase it. I am sure they wanted for me to return it since the vehicle was like new (not a dig or scratch) and very low mileage. The entire process did not take all morning and the staff from the salesperson to the finance dept and yes even the manager could not have been more professional, courteous and just as important, friendly. Since I had an excellent credit score 780 to 840 I was expecting a low interest rate but that is not their choice but rather the crooks/SOB’s at Bank of America. Their interest rate was 5.9%. What a joke! I signed the paper work since Kia did not come up with this rate and went to my credit union and in less than an hour I refinanced Soul at 2.3% and saved about $33.00 a month. Does not seem like much but loan amount was less than $14,000. Unlike a mortgage payment where it could be hundreds of dollars/mth. I am able to drive again with no restrictions an now have over 17,000 miles on Soul that’s over 10,000 miles in 5 months. Not bad for an old man (LOL). If I ever need to purchase/lease I will make just one stop “GUNTHER KIA OR VW OR MAZDA” . Must mention the great service department. Any work done, oil changes and tire rotation, was completed by Gunther Kia. Fast, courteous an friendly service ALWAYS. THANKS AGAIN!!! Dominick More

Awful rise of price at the very end of the deal!!! Minutes. Literally, minutes before signing our new lease my husband and I find out that the color we chose has a $400 increase of price. Neither Jonnathan or Joshua, the sales associate or the manager mentioned this during entire negotation process. I am furious that after keeping us for several hours here and getting us all excited with the new car and color they tell us it’s not that until the very end. This is despicable and I don’t appreciate it. Everything should be clear and honest from the very start. More
