Poor Communication, Abysmal Punctuality I chose Hendrick's Collision based off of online reviews, and in hindsight these reviews seem to be either falsified or my experience was an outlier. I chose Hendrick's Collision based off of online reviews, and in hindsight these reviews seem to be either falsified or my experience was an outlier. Communication was the biggest issue for me. After dropping off my car for repairs I was assured I would receive updates throughout the process. This was certainly not the case as it seemed I only got any type of response if I called and waited on hold, or actually went into the body shop to speak to a manager. I was given false information early in the process when it was mentioned to me that my car was currently being painted and should be ready for pickup the next day. There was clearly some confusion on Hendrick's part as I then received an email that supplemental repairs were requested to my insurance. My insurance (Traveler's) was able to approve the repairs after going to review the supplement. During the time from the insurance's approval to the week of expected completion I received no updates or any information from Hendricks. This was over 2 weeks with so much as an email. I should point out that there were automated updates, which turned out to be useless. A week before I actually picked up my car I received a text alert confirming I had picked up my car which made no sense. Moving to the week in which my vehicle was expected to be completed, I went to the body shop to pick some paper work I left in my car. The manager took me back behind the shop where my car sat outside in the rain without a hood or window molding . He mentioned they were looking for some molding for the door that they had removed and could not find the part for, but he assured me that Thursday evening it should all be ready and if not by Thursday, it would be ready Friday for sure. Thursday came and the car wasn't ready, but they mentioned that I could come between 4 p.m. to close on Friday to pick up the vehicle. Friday at 3:30 Tom Roche called me while I was at work, so I missed his call by a few minutes. Trying to get anyone working on my vehicle was a nightmare. I called back several times until I finally just had to get a ride to the collision center to see the car for myself. Upon arriving, another manager (Todd I believe) took me to my car and told me that the wrong parts were delivered and that the car should be ready Monday of the next week. I asked about some of the parts they replaced and the manager mentioned that the car initially looked like it was going to be a total loss, so they tossed certain parts that weren't necessarily needing to be replaced. I'm not sure if my insurance ate the cost for these parts or not. At this point I was without transportation for multiple days, so Hendrick's provided me with a rental until my car's completion which ended up being Tuesday of the following week. After picking up my car the repairs seemed adequate enough and I was satisfied with the end product with one caveat being the Acura logo on the engine cover was broken/missing. This part was insignificant to the operation of the vehicle and i wasn't willing to deal with the body shop any longer than needed. I rarely write reviews, but felt my experience here was bad enough that I needed to. I would not recommend this body shop to anyone and would go out of my way to tell others to avoid it. More
