Through autotrader.com, I saw the perfect vehicle at Gwinnett Place Nissan. No selling was involved since I already knew what I wanted. All that was left was the dreaded negotiation for the allowance on my trade and the purchase price of the Jeep. Over the phone it was set up that I'd be working with Charlan. Shortly after arrival Saturday at the dealership, Charlan greeted me and asked me to wait a short while as he was with a customer. He wound up handing me off to Nathan Bell which was actually a good thing as Nathan was very knowledgeable about Jeeps. We couldn't hammer out a deal so his manager got involved. Eventually, we agreed on numbers after the manager checked *his* manager. I feel I got a very good deal on the Jeep but not so much on my trade. That's why I knocked off a point for Price. I'll be afraid to look at what they'll be listing my trade for! Nathan was friendly, patient, and very helpful. He gave up part of his Sunday to make sure I was completely satisfied rather than have Charlan finalize things. Charlan did get involved in getting the Jeep to Service for a final cleaning of some minor smudges and removal of various decals. Both were on hand as I pulled away in my new Jeep. Overall, a great experience and GPN gets a recommendation as well as either Charlan or Nathan. Regards, MRD More

The first time was because my intake assembly had not been put back together, it was missing parts.I took it back and the section was found and put together. I went to my my mechanic to have amy catalytic convertor replace he told me my valve covers are leaking,I took it back a second time. when I took it back it was held for 1 day, I never received all call to return or anything, I popped up to see what was going on. I see Kerry from the parking lot, he leave when he seen me not sure why, I waited for a few then he came back. He told me now that the problem was coming from some where else and that I needed to pay an aditianal 2600 to fix my problem. The job was not done right, now I have oil leaks on my drive way that I never had. I know my vehicle and I know I didn't have this major problem when I took it in. I took my car in to fix my license plate light and then I came out paying a 1700 bill for something I was told that was needed because it was really bad. I was assured by Kerry that this repair will fix my issue. Now I have a bigger issue. I went back the third time and I just got the run around and was told now its a new problem and nothing can be done. I am a technician., when you diagnose a issue you figure out what's wrong with what ever your working with and then advise, you dont find other stuff to blame when the client comes back. This is a $1700 lesson that I dont think no one should go through. I was told this will fix what ever leak I had coming from the engine and now I see a leak something that I didn't see before. In the last year that I have had my car I haven't had to add every week oil to keep it from drying out. I will never recommended anyone or take my car to your location. I wish I wasn't going through this issue, I really should had said no when I was presented with the service issue. I was told by one of your service guys that they trust their certified tech before my mechanic. now on my end the certified tech didn't put a simple intake system back together. The funny part about of everything is Kerry offered me a 10% discount if I do the $2600 job. I am complaining about the first job and he comes to me with this. you should have him on the sales floor. I am not a happy customer, I went in for service and came out with a head ache. More

I signed on the 27th an agreement with financing through Nissan through Gwinnett place Nissan 8 hours to supposedly finalizing our deal (went in about 12 noon and left when they were closing about 9pm) I wa Nissan through Gwinnett place Nissan 8 hours to supposedly finalizing our deal (went in about 12 noon and left when they were closing about 9pm) I was happy once all was said and done except the note seemed a little high. I decided to go back the next day in the morning and see if I could extend the term another year to lower the payment a bit. I went in and the finance person told me it would not be a problem at all took about an hour and I was on my way with the new 5 year and lower payment agreement. Once I returned to Tennessee I started getting a lot of random calls from different Georgia area codes and ignored them because they left no message. On November 18, almost 3 weeks later I go to the Tennessee tag office to get my tags and the tag office says they have not received anything from Gwinnett Place Nissan. I immediately call Gwinnet Place Nissan to find out what's going on. After numerous conversations I was told "come back to Georgia or we can send you a new agreement to save you money. I told every person I spoke to that I sat in the dealer for 8 hours for the deal I signed for which was a 5 year agreement. I also told them I didn't want them to send me anything because I didn't agree to a different deal I wanted the one I signed for. Gwinnett place Nissan Finance Manager Chris Kim told me then he could not honor the deal i signed with Gwinnett Place Nissan and that I would not be able to get my plates. He told me if I did not sign he would just process the first agreement for the 4 year term (note on this agreement was 100.00 more than what I thought I was spending monthly). I ended up hanging up on him because he wasn't at all interested in how inconvenient this was for me after investing 40,000 into the company he works for his only response was I don't see what the big deal is in changing the deal if we are going to send you money, however he would not answer for what happened to the second deal I signed on the October the 28th. The conversation I had with Chris Kim was on Monday the 18th where he said he would just finance the deal for the first agreement we signed. Wednesday evening I still have no account with Nissan so I drove to Gwinnett place Nissan with the intention on giving their car back with no financing, temporary tag expiring on the 26 November and no way to get a tag I was left with little options. Once I got to Gwinnett Place Nissan I had a look around my old car was nowhere to be found (I'm assuming they sold it) which left me with even less options. How do you knowingly sell a trade in knowing that you're not going to honor an agreement you entered into with a customer. The salesperson came to greet me when I pulled up and was friendly. I met with the finance manager Chris Kim and he asked why I was there. I asked him you tell me, I spoke with him earlier that week and on Wednesday 20th I still had no financing. He said that I did verbally and that he and several others had tried to call me. I told him I have heard I had financing before which obviously was not true so why would you expect me to take you for your word. I said ill just call Nissan and turned out I did have financing (apparently they just sent the paperwork over that day). So back to Tennessee I go. Go by the tag office and guess what... they still have not received the documents to process my tags from the dealer. I call the dealer again the person in charge of the tags there Tamara Collins says she has nothing to do with extending a tag and that I would have to go through the Tennessee tag office for an extension. For the life of me I can't understand for the life of me why anyone would conduct business in this way until I did a little research of my own. I have written letters of my experience to the Federal Trade Commission, military of which am a current member and the Better Business Bureau, in doing so I have found 24 complaints against this business in the last 3 years and some of them sound really familiar to mine (look it up). I would urge anyone looking at Nissan to buy one... but ensure that you do not look in the direction of Gwinnett Place Nissan!!! Their attitude towards customers is horrible, attention to detail nonexistent, knowledge of their craft missing in action and their integrity ranks in the negatives!!! As a service member I can't believe this dealer would have me riding around without proper tags after I have done everything I was supposed to that would ensure I am street legal and able to get on base. I have gotten nothing but runaround and my time wasted what a horrible new car buying experience this has turned out to be when it's supposed to a happy time. How many people these days are buying new to stimulate these businesses. I hate even having to call them to do their jobs and quite frankly have given up on doing it! I would urge anyone friend or foe not to shop there!!! More
