A Good Leasing Experience Before I came to Habberstad BMW I had a previous leasing experience at Ford in Levittown. The experience with Ford was honestly everything a car leasing experience should be according to common belief. The sales person was no not knowledgeable of their product or the service provided by their own dealership. He was eager to get a deposit and was hanging the carrot of "it's the only one left". After I gave a deposit there was assortment of fees they forgot to tell me about. All of which I refused to pay and had the sales person chasing me into the parking lot when I called him out on it. After I finally did work out the deal, on my terms. There follow up service was abysmal at best, thankfully I never had any serious problems. All that being said, I went into this experience expecting the worst, especially now that I was going into a luxury car dealership. I Expected to try to be oversold and pressured into making deposits and commitments. Before I went to Habberstad I had already priced the car at a different dealership and I knew exactly what I wanted and the price I was willing to pay. Melissa was extremely helpful and presented the options I had in a clear way without trying to upsell me or talk down to me because of the choice I made and the budget I had. She was very knowledgeable about the cars they offered as well as the services the dealership provided. But at the same time she was very upfront when she didn't know an answer right away and found the right resource to get the answers needed. Overall it felt like she was trying to provide a service more than "sell" me a car. Which as a sales person myself I respond well to. As far as the dealership itself is concerned, everything was normal and uneventful, except for the finance guy trying to trick me into applying for a BMW credit card (beware), I'm pretty sure everyone qualifies, but I fell into an "elite" group because of my 750 scores. Time will tell whether the dealership does the right thing servicing the car and me as a custom. More
