Purchased a used car from David here. Things were good and smooth at first, but as soon as I signed and left my deposit customer service went out the window. Purchased on a Friday, I was Things were good and smooth at first, but as soon as I signed and left my deposit customer service went out the window. Purchased on a Friday, I was told it could take a couple days to take delivery of my vehicle as the dealership would need to send runners over to a New York DMV to get my license plates. Fair enough. David let me know the following week that the car will be ready to pick up Wednesday Wednesday morning. I let David know that I can come get it on Friday that’s my day off. He mentions he starts his day at 11 AM on Fridays, so I asked him if there’s anyway for me to pick up the vehicle before then or if I needed to wait on him. He reads the message early in the afternoon Thursday and then does not reply. I call the dealership Friday morning to see if I can come by and no one can help me letting me know instead I have to wait for my uncommunicative sales person. I arrived at the Dealership on David’s schedule to pick up the car I purchased and what I found was very disappointing. At the original time of purchase I asked David for one thing and one thing only, to have the bright yellow “Haddad Subaru” sticker removed from the trunk lid. No other back-and-forth or negotiation. This was not completed. The vehicle was quite dirty on the outside, and lightly on the inside. The car looked exactly as it did when I test drove it the previous week and it’s obvious they hadn’t touched it since. half an hour into my journey back to New York my tire pressure light came on. Turns out the sensors simply needed to be reset following the tire mount & Balance the dealership completed - something surely someone would’ve noticed and have the vehicle been sent for cleaning or some other pre-delivery inspection. The final insult to injury was the screws they used to mount my new license plates - literally four different screws for the different holes. One of the two screws used for the rear license plate didn’t even fit and was semi cross threaded into place - a discovery I made while removing the also bright yellow license plate covers installed as if on a mission to make my new vehicle is ugly as they could before delivering it to me. I would not consider doing business again with this dealership after I was treated as a unwanted customer once I signed & paid. More

We are extremely disappointed with their service. They do not stand behind the work they do and if the problem persists they tell you to call Subaru America. I can’t say enough about the expertise and kindness of the gentleman, Scott Schiff, who sold me my car. He was able to explain the features of each car we compared and answer every question we had. But m the gentleman, Scott Schiff, who sold me my car. He was able to explain the features of each car we compared and answer every question we had. But most importantly, he actually listened to the list of requirements I was looking for on a car and he knew immediately which cars might work. He gave us his full attention and offered us food and drinks as we spoke. I will send everyone I know to him. The entire office had such a comfortable, respectful, friendly feel to it. The others I spoke to, Ally and Anthony, were also very professional. More
Easiest dealership I ever dealt with! From Ali and Dave to the business guy (sorry I don’t remember his name). Everything was upfront which I definitely appreciated. Very straightforward and easy to deal with, my wife and I walked in on a Friday night and said "we are here to buy a car." With a general idea of what we wanted, we proceeded to quickly compare a few models walked in on a Friday night and said "we are here to buy a car." With a general idea of what we wanted, we proceeded to quickly compare a few models and learned the associated trims. We decided on a 2023 Ascent Onyx Limited that had low miles as it was a demo/corporate car. As a brief aside our particular sales rep, David, really didn't know what he was selling. I was putting $25k cash down and wanted to apply for financing for the remaining $20k. I asked what the average interest rates were and if I should include a co - signer. After a few rounds of them dodging the question they muttered that the rates were 5 - 7%. We left the dealership excited with the find and then filled out the finance app online. Good news! I was approved for financing the next morning. "What's the interest rate," I asked? "Oh, Tim has that. Come down and we will get started." I go down to the dealership and after 20 minutes of papers about the price etc (already telling me what I know) I ask again. "What is the interest rate?" "Oh, Tim has that." This is where the real entertainment starts, lol. Like Tim has all the big secrets… David sheepishly goes over to the BIG DESK with Tim, lol. I'm sorry… the comedy is just too much. It's fit for films a la Tin Men, Fargo, Boiler Room (wait, that last one gives them too much credit). I think they were trained at a discount mattress store. Are you ready?... 13% LOL. I told him I’m not paying 13%, and I can have my co - signer jump in the mix if need be. Practically hyperventilating David started in on everything he had: “Well, you are going to pay it off quickly.” “This will build your credit.” “I didn’t know what your goal was?” “Maybe you wanted to build credit.” My goal? My goal was to buy a car, as stated on Friday night. “I’m not trying to convince you not to get a co - signer.” “We didn’t even run your credit.” “Maybe at best you’ll gain 5 percent.” Which would put one at 8% with good credit, a substantial amount of money down and a co - signer with tier 1 credit? What happened to the average of 5 - 7% I ask you? In any event, I left the dealership and woke to texts, emails, phone calls, smoke signals, messages by pigeon. They were getting real jumpy down at Haddad motor group. I said I was going to pass, knowing interest rates were high per Tim, and my co - signer was now back in Boston for the week. I was not interested in paying more than 5%. Miraculously I needed to call ASAP, they can get me 4.99%. I called David and was told they could do 4.99% over 63 months for that car. I spent time on the phone with my co - signer, filling out the joint application, then drove to the dealership for a 1 pm appointment, which was forgotten about by David. “I didn’t know you were coming in” LOL. Eventually, I started all the basic paperwork at the dealership and gave a check for $25K - only awaiting my co - signers signature that would be overnighted back and forth to Boston. We decided to leave, as finance was busy, and made another appointment with finance for 4 PM- which was also forgotten about when I arrived at 4 PM. Anthony from finance eventually comes out with his post-it pad and asks “what term were you looking for?” “What term am I looking for? I was told it was 63 months. 4.99% for 63 months.” “Yeah, they gave you the rates on a new car.” One can only imagine. I was nonplussed. The rates were now 5.49 - 6.49% depending on the term. Not so bad, however, the taste in my mouth... I said I was walking. Guess what? They already deposited my check which I didn’t realize until days later. Due to the character limit on this website this part is truncated. Long story short the dealership is holding our $25k currently while hostly mocking, threatening and stalking us on email. Ben says we are down the street and we are scared. More
Ally was extremely helpful and informative. She made us feel comfortable, listened to what we wanted and had to say and overall helped us make a good decision for a reasonable price. Anthony in She made us feel comfortable, listened to what we wanted and had to say and overall helped us make a good decision for a reasonable price. Anthony in finance was also extremely helpful and worked with us as well to get the monthly payment to a number we were both comfortable with. Overall a great experience! Ally and Anthony helped us get into a car suitable for Pittsfield winter and we feel much safer now! More
