I understand that you are upset because we cannot get you the vehicle of your choice to drive while your car is being serviced. The issue is that while we are happy to place you in any available rental car we have, we do not have Acura rental cars available at this time. When Acura issued the recall on the airbags they did agree to provide vehicles for customers to drive with Acura paying the fee for the rental cars. However, we are not a rental car agency, we must utilize the vehicles that Enterprise has available. You were offered a vehicle of comparable size and I understand that you were not satisfied with that. There is nothing I can do to obtain a vehicle that the rental agency simply does not have. That is a complete lie. I was offered a small compact car. Honestly, the car was not solely the reason for my dissatisfaction. Your shortness, attitude and lack of empathy regarding the situation did not exemplify that of a luxury brand which you claim to represent. I have since spoken to a different dealership who has authorized an upgrade at their expense and above all ensured me that they understand my frustration and will do their best to accommodate me. Although I may not get the exact product I am currently paying for, the customer service made up for it. You treated me as if I was trying to get something for nothing when all I did was ask for a product comparable to what I paid for. I had already planned two upcoming trips which I would be driving long distance for so the size and features in my car are important to me, hence my Acura purchase. As a consumer and loyal Acura customer, your behavior has made me question the brand entirely.

This recent air bag recall has created a huge demand for rental cars, and availability through our sources is limited. Our goal is make sure that all of our sales and service customers are completely satisfied. This is one of the reasons why we have been awarded Acura’s highest honor, the Dealership of Distinction award for four years in a row. We attempted to secure a larger vehicle for you, and it is unfortunate that we were to provide a full-size rental car as you requested.
