The first time was for the back of the driver seat that kept popping off. They repaired it but it never felt quite right after and I can tell it's about to break again. I was told that this repair was for a defective cam phaser and a blocked oil valve. I was told on a Saturday that they had to tear down the engine. They hoped to have it done Monday, but maybe Tuesday. I called Tuesday afternoon to check the status and was told that they just got all the parts. They finished it Wednesday, one day later than promised. They also upgraded the engine software for no charge but I had to pay $150 for the "recommended" transmission software update. They forgot to fix the time on the clock. I can overlook that, but the reason why I wrote this review was that someone had been smoking in my Jeep. That is inexcusable. I can't stand the smell of smoke in a car. Finally this morning, two days later, I can no longer smell the smoke. I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with Jeep or not after this, but I do know that I'm going to find a better dealer to work with if I do. More

The third time, they finally managed to fix this problem, but not before putting multiple miles on my car and then returning our car to us on empty. I then contacted the service department about this, and they told me that when I was in the area, they would put some gas in my car. The problem is I am never really "in the area". I had to drive extra miles just so they could put a little bit of gas in my car which was hardly worth it. Then, this last visit was for a simple oil change. We were told that one of our compartment filters was missing and that it would cost $20.00 for a new one. When my husband asked how a filter could be missing, the gentleman told us that it "maybe fell out" while we were driving. I am sorry but this sounds like a load of bull. We googled this filter, and it says in order to access it, you have to remove the back of the glove box, and even then it would be hard to pull out. If it's so hard to get to, and hard to pull out of its casing, then how could it just fall out. We are guessing that when this filter was last checked by Hall Chrylser, the filter was not replaced and then we were charged for it. Also, during this last visit, the service department forgot to put the tire caps back on all four of our tires. I contacted the service department, and again, we got the "when you are back in the area" we will replace those for you. I informed him that we are never really in the area and would have to drive out there specifically to get those caps. I asked him if he was going to reimburse us for our expenses (mileage and gas) and he told me flat out "NO". I am sorry, but I am the customer here. Nothing was done for us. We were basically told to take care of it ourselves when this was no fault of ours. I plan on putting this on your website under comments. I believe that your customer service (at least in the service department) sucks! More
Unless you want to toss money out the window...do not take your car here for service! I had my car towed to Hall for repairs. It is the first time I have had trouble with the car since I purchased it. It would not start and we were unable to jump start it. Very shortly after dropping it off, Joe in service called my husband to let him know the alternator, the battery, AND the starter all needed to be replaced. This came with a price tag of $967 plus tax. Now, we don't know a whole lot about cars, but the starter seemed pretty unlikely. My husband asked Joe a few questions..basically trying to get him to say the starter might be ok or something along those lines. Joe's final word on it was, "the starter is definitely bad..it needs to be replaced". I didn't trust it. We decided to have the car towed to another shop. We went to Hall to meet the tow truck so we could go in and get the keys. When I told Joe we were taking the car, he said, "ok..we'll start getting it down and get it all buttoned up for you"...trying to make me think they were still working on it! I said...well that shouldn't be necessary..I just saw it in the parking lot...in the same spot we left it in yesterday. I got crickets..then he got me the key. I had the car towed to Logan's which is right down the street and they were awesome! The car was fixed in about 2 hours and for less than half the cost. The starter that so badly NEEDED to be replaced is still on my car and working perfectly fine. HALL IS DISHONEST and I will NEVER take my car there again...not even for a free oil change!!! More
I am so tired of taking my Van in for an oil change or state inspection, then being pushed to get 200-700 $$ worth of service on top of that. Last week , I took the van in for a state inspection, oil chan state inspection, then being pushed to get 200-700 $$ worth of service on top of that. Last week , I took the van in for a state inspection, oil change and a recall item. They said that I needed several hundred $$ of maintenance, even though I have gotten almost everything they have recommended so far. Their prices are way over priced, Pep Boys is better. And why wasn't I ever offered the "software update" in the three years under warranty? My van only has 29 K miles on it! So I wait 2 and 1/2 hours for the service, then Olivia comes out to tell me that I need all the $$$ stuff. So I go to the cashier to pay, and I find out that they didn't even do the recall item, it would be nice to have been told that they didn't have the part in, instead of me wondering about it...and they didn't even run it through the wash which I specifically requested twice. Not good service. Basically it took 2 1/2 hours to get an oil change and state inspection!!!They are only interested in selling you more service, not doing the stuff that was recalled. I am in the market for a new vehicle, but will not be returning to Hall...Hall Honda is the same, ans we have Civics too.. More
I purchased my 2007 Pacifica new and have gotten all of my service done at the dealership. I have worked with a couple of the service advisers but Baker is the one I look for when I go in. He is always ple my service done at the dealership. I have worked with a couple of the service advisers but Baker is the one I look for when I go in. He is always pleasant, upbeat, and friendly. He advises me on what my vehicle is in need of. He is very helpful on letting me know what is the most important service as opposed to what can wait until the next time I come in, because I always come back. Today I was also helped by Johnny, he was kind enough to give my husband and myself a courtesy ride while my vehicle was being worked on. My vehicle was completed on time as usual. The girls they have working at the check-out are also very nice and helpful. The one I had today told me about a great oil change program they have going on that I will definitely sign up for on my next visit. I always recommend the service department at Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. More
I do a lot of my own servicing so i don't visit a dealership's Service Department often. I bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently and have needed a dealers expertise to resolve some issues i'm having with it. By the way this is my fourth Jeep product since 1978 so i do know a little about them. Olivia Richardson was assigned as my Service Advisor and I really can't do anything but praise my experience with the Service Department. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and goes out of her way to see that your vehicle is taken care of. The technician's also did a great job in diagnosing and servicing my vehicle. I will return to this dealer for service for my Jeep, and i will recommend them to anyone i know that needs their vehicle serviced. I will also specifically recommend to them to ask for Olivia Richardson as their Service Advisor based on my two experiences. I would even go as far to say i would buy my next new vehicle from Hall if this level of service is indicative of what i could expect from the Sales Department. Gotta five 5's across the board. More
Hello, I am not the type of person who usually leaves Hello, I am not the type of person who usually leaves feedback but in this case, it needs to be shared. I have a 2003 Dodge Cummins Diesel truck tha Hello, I am not the type of person who usually leaves feedback but in this case, it needs to be shared. I have a 2003 Dodge Cummins Diesel truck that Is my pride and joy. On November 8th, 2011 I picked up some bad fuel at one of the local service stations and it did a number on my injectors. I had the truck towed to a local Virginia Beach Diesel mechanic for repair. I felt confident that they knew what they were doing. Well several weeks went by before a line was even removed from my engine which of course allowed the local station to clean out the bad fuel from their tanks so they said it wasn't their fault. So the mechanic put new injectors in my truck but left some of the bad fuel in and it screwed those injectors up and then he wanted me to pay for them again. Oh by the way, they ran into my pretty truck with another customer’s vehicle while it sat awaiting repair so now my fender is smashed in. My insurance company said enough is enough; we towed the vehicle out on Feb 6, 2012 to Hall Chrysler under the care and supervision of Joe Meyer (Assistant Service Manager). Wow, I have to say, it was a pleasure dealing with someone who treated me like a customer and when Joe said he would take care of me, he wasn't kidding. They even went so far as to check the cylinder walls for damage before they put any new parts on my truck because bad fuel can do a lot of damage. An estimate was created and Joe sent that to my insurance company. They approved the work and in one week, Joe called me and said my truck was running great. I about fell out of my chair when he told me that it was already put back together and running. He went over a few areas of concern on my truck that were not related to this particular repair and I ended up calling around to get prices on those recommended services. Called Joe back and his pricing was extremely competitive that I went with his team because they offer one year/12,000 mile warranty on their parts. I am so happy to report that when I picked my truck up it was washed and ready to go out front. When I went over the invoice with Joe, the mechanic was standing next to us and he addressed all my questions about the repairs. Joe walked me to my truck and we did a quick walk around and I departed. I still can't believe how well they took care of me and how great their service is and the price was remarkable. Joe Meyer and his team are number one in my book and I will be back for all my automotive needs! More
