Because you’d like to frame this in a way that makes you look like the good guy, I feel the need to add more detail. No one once called me about anything. I had to do all the calling and take the initiative. I was never told that anyone was negotiating on my behalf, only that you were waiting on a decision. My paperwork was lost initially! The fact that I dropped my car off for 2 days before I was called and told that the process would take longer than a couple days is enough to prove that customer service service is subpar at best. I have children, work, and responsibilities that require a vehicle. I dropped my car off to get worked on and it was parked in your lot for two days at which point you actually DID call me to tell me that a decision was finally made and that it would be a week to complete. I was under the impression that work was being started when I dropped the car off! I then had to pick up my car and wait until a loaner was available and NO ONE called me for days! Once I called to ask about a loaner, one magically appeared. I’m not questioning your ability to negotiate or provide a skilled service like paint or mechanical work. I’m questioning your ability to treat customer like people who have lives beyond that of your service shop. A simple phone call and more streamlined communication would’ve gone a long way here. I missed hours of work, doctor’s appointments needed rescheduled, and paid extra for ride services on the 2 days my car was just sitting in your shop. Let’s also not forget that I called to ask for it to be ready when I was on my way to pick it up - an effort that was also dismissed as I had to wait for....my checkout paperwork to be found (another mysteriously misplacing of paperwork!) AND a car to be pulled out so that my car could be brought to me. This made me late to my next destination even though I called ahead of time. Please do not make your customers look like they’re whining and that you’re customer service martyrs who just comp things for everyone else’s good. Your response here is even more disappointing than the frustrating experience referenced.
