He allowed me to test drive three different cars in order to see which would best suit my family's needs. Jonathan was also friendly and warm, with a sincereness that you rarely find in dealerships nowadays. Zack was also helpful in my purchasing experience. He sold the car to me at invoice price, and hit the mark pretty close when it came to creating a payment that stayed within my monthly budget. My only qualm about that though is that (after researching on Edmunds), I could've gotten the vehicle for about $1300 cheaper since it is the last model before the new body style (which is debuting in 2012) is to come out. But Zack did significantly reduce the price of the luggage rack, which I appreciated. Steve was helpful in the financing side of the deal by finding me the best rate possible. Overall, I would recommend Hall Mazda to anyone looking for their next vehicle. My cousin bought a vehicle at the same dealership within days of us purchasing ours, so I think we've all gotten a pretty great deal out of it - her, the dealership, and I. More
After having a horrible experience at another local Mazda dealership, I came to Hall Mazda for service on my 2002 Miata. My issue was not an easy or apparent fix, and Chip spent lots of time with my car, to dealership, I came to Hall Mazda for service on my 2002 Miata. My issue was not an easy or apparent fix, and Chip spent lots of time with my car, to figure out my issue. He seemed very knowledgeable with what he was doing and it made me feel confident that he would be able to fix my car. Bruce, my service writer, kept me updated at all times on the progress of the car and all the steps that were being taken to repair it. I am very happy with the entire process, they were friendly and very helpful and I really appreciated the fact that they kept me updated on the repairs. I would highly recommend them to anyone for Mazda service! More
To be concise, this is a GREAT place to buy a vehicle. My husband and I just got married - and starting out can be hard. We needed a new car, and wanted to do a trade in for something safer. I have had my eye on the Mazda CX-7 for a while now and I have been turned down by other dealers several times with no attempt at helping me out. So we walked into Mazda, and were immediately greeted by John - who after working with him I can say he is an all around great guy and of course an amazing salesman. All in all, I didnt think I would get what I wanted - if anything at all - but by the end of that same day I walked out of there with a safe, dependable vehicle, a surviving bank account, a happy husband and a smile on my face. Everyone at that institution WILL go the distance to help you out. It is nice to see that selflessness, respect, understanding, honesty and consideration has found its way back into the automotive world. Many dealerships could learn a thing out two from Hall - As for my family, we will no longer be dealing with anyone else. ;o) THANKS SO MUCH HALL MAZDA VA BEACH! More
I'm a long time repeat customer and have bee pondering the purchase of a new car for several months. I have had regular communication with Virgil Ware during this time. Sunday 9/5 my check engine light the purchase of a new car for several months. I have had regular communication with Virgil Ware during this time. Sunday 9/5 my check engine light came on and I panicked because I was due to drive out of town on a business trip. I felt I had to rent a car for my trip then decided if I could purchase a car in a matter of hours I would not need to rent a car. The problem was I had prep work to do for my trip and did not have time to go to the dealership. I called Virgil who was out of the office so I was referred to Mike. Mike was very helpful, guided to the website to begin the process and assured me Virgil would get credit for the sale. I spoke with Mike a couple of times via phone and when Virgil came in he called, confirmed the data I'd provided Mike and asked a few more questions. Within 20 minutes Virgil was telling me to come to the dealership. Upon arrival Calvin Smith assessed my trade in (a 2000 Mazda with over 200,000 miles) while Calvin assessed Virgil took me for a test drive. Upon return to the dealership, Calvin was still working on financing and addition of features I wanted in the car. Zack Byrd stepped in to complete the final paperwork, offer the extended warranty etc. This was truly a team effort. Mike, Virgil, Calvin and Zack were all the epitome of professionalism. They understood my time crunch and made sure it all happened. I was majorly stressed out but they relaxed me, assured me, used humor to calm me and got the job done. This purchase makes the 5th Mazda I've purchased from this dealership, I trust them both sales and service, which is why when I found myself in a tight crunch at the 11th hour, I did not hesitate to contact Hall Mazda (known as Mega Mazda when I first started dealing with them) with the confidence that if anything could be done to solve my dilemma, they were the dealership to do it. After my old car was totaled in an accident, my husband and I found ourselves at Hall Mazda to look at the 2010 Mazda3. We were promptly greeted by Robert Pena who offered us a test drive. While I loved the car, we hadn't received any money from the insurance company yet so we were not ready to buy. Robert didn't pressure us at all, gave us his card and a brochure, and told us to give him a call when we were ready. About a week later, we received our check and went back to buy the car. The color/model combination I wanted had been sold during the week, but they were able to get one from another local dealer. I didn't leave that day empty-handed; Robert put me in a black Mazda3 for a few days while I waited for my blue one to come in. Everyone at the dealership was very pleasant and friendly -- no pushy salesmen here. Overall my entire experience at Hall Mazda has been a pleasant one. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I will definitely recommend Hall Mazda to everyone I know, and I look forward to dealing with them in the future. More

We bought 2 vehicles from this dealership within the last week. This was the absolute best car-buying experience my wife and I have ever encountered (and we have done this many times over the years). Virgil and Zack really went out of their way to make sure the vehicles and the financing were right for us. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products and the financing options available. Virgil stayed way after closing hours to explain all the features of the vehicles. He set up the Blue-tooth pairing, the satellite radio and the navigation systems for both of us and showed us how to use them in detail. Steve, the business and finance manager, was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the terms of the contracts. Zack and Virgil were also both very pleasant and patient in answering all of our questions. We never felt any pressure to do anything we were uncomfortable with. We both feel we were treated very well, and we are both extremely happy with the vehicles we purchased and with our overall experience there. More
