I brought my 2018 accord in on a friday for an oil change and multipoint inspection. No issues were found, but the next morning it wouldn't start. The service person quoted me a price of $179.99 + tax to rep and multipoint inspection. No issues were found, but the next morning it wouldn't start. The service person quoted me a price of $179.99 + tax to replace the battery if, in fact, that was the problem. I was also told there would no addt'l charges if the problem was only the battery. In order to get the car to the dealer I had it jumped. After the diagnostics were run the battery was the cause. However, the price I was quoted was not for the proper battery and with the addt'l charges the cost was over $300. What I find hard to believe is that if the battery tested fine how could it be dead the next time you start the car. It would have to test less than fine. In addition, the multi point inspection was conducted again and now stated the engine air filter was dirty. However, I had replaced that filter only 2 days before the oil change so I doubt it was dirty. I understand that prices quoted can change once the serviceman determines the cause, but in this case the cause was simply the battery and the quoted price should have been honored. As I explained to the service agent you had me over a barrel and I had no choice but to pay the new price. If I decided to replace the battery myself then I'd have to pay the $169 diagnostics fee plus go buy a $200 battery elsewhere. More

Advisor did not spend time to go over multi point findings and did not discuss any repairs the car needed. Statement B on my invoice is UNTRUE, maybe it was to early in the day for him!
