Waste of Money and Time I took my 2014 Volkswagen Passat to see why the check engine light was on. They informed me that the vehicle was burning oil, approximately 3 quarts s I took my 2014 Volkswagen Passat to see why the check engine light was on. They informed me that the vehicle was burning oil, approximately 3 quarts since the last oil change. They recommended spending approximately over $400 to do an oil consumption test. I declined as the test wouldn't do more than tell us it was losing oil. They then performed another oil change and told me to keep an eye on it. I was told that a possible engine block replacement could be in the future. I took it to a local repair center who trouble shot the issue and found the PCV/Oil Separator to be faulty. Why would a local repair shop know more than the dealer is beyond me. I got charged approximately $231.00 by the dealer and told I might have to replace the engine??? I also own a 2018 Mazda CX-9 from this dealer and will be taking elsewhere for all my repair needs. More

Why wasn’t I updated throughout the duration? I was on a work conference call for most of the duration so I couldn’t complain. At 1 hour and 45 mins and finally off my call, I was able to ask a Tom for an update. He said 15 mins. 30 mins later you were finally completed. What a waste of my time. Tom is a nice guy so no knock to him necessarily. He’s been very helpful during previous oil changes. Perhaps today was just an off day for the service team. More
