Absolutely abysmal experience, that I am still paying for a year later. Buyer beware, they are selling dangerous lemons and know it. Purchased a 2014 Corolla about a year ago from them. Less than a week into ownership it had a check engine light. In and out of HPOs service department under warranty for two months. Had the owner, Anthony, slip me $100s to shut me up. When it came in for about the fifth time for the exact same check engine code, Anthony attempted to exchange the vehicle. I had it taken to Koons Toyota in Westminster for repair on his dime. Check engine light never returned, car rode fine. I was told to never bring the car back to HPO. Mind you during this time the service manager was FIRED, presumably due to his shops inability to fix my vehicle, and I was left in the dark for A WEEK with a check engine light. Now, as I am preparing to sell the car and getting appraisals for it, I am discovering the vehicle is not accident free like the Carfax claims. So far, the front bumper needs replacement from an accident, the front passenger side strut assembly was so badly damaged from an accident and degrading so rapidly, that a hard enough bump would have completely separated the strut and caused an accident, and I have just received an appraisal $2k below my original offer due to WELDED FRAME DAMAGE. The entire apron, frame, and core support structure has been welded together post-accident. AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE. More

This dealership had a very large selection of vehicles that were priced Very competitively. CJ was excellent to work with through our buying experience, as was the finance manager. Went to buy a car today and found that this dealership is a rip off. Will not tell you anything you ask. Slide in every possible fee even having you pay for their dealership warranty. Stay away. The guys at Hampstead Preowned are masters of deception. They have a very comfortable, friendly environment which is the most disappointing part of my experience. I thought these guys were family; they made myself feel like such. Hampstead is not family. I accepted my car with a few problems; cracked windshield, minor body & interior damage. I accepted the vehicle due to the signed binding agreement that we had. Hampstead pre-owned promised to repair any of aforementioned problems if they had gotten any worse in 6 months. Prior to purchasing my car, the guys at Hampstead were overly communicative, calling many times every day until the car deal was final. About 2 months later, i made many attempts to get in contact with Hampstead. No one would return my calls. Every time i called for weeks i was told i would get a call back but i would never receive that call. After a few more months i decided to trade-in the trash i was given from Hampstead Pre-owned at the Chevrolet dealer & purchased a brand new Chevy Malibu Hybrid. Best decision ever & i have been happy with my Chevy for two years and counting. Sadly the mainstream dealership is more trustworthy than this local dealership. If you purchase a car here, you will regret it. I try to convince everyone looking for a car that i know to stay far away from Hampstead Pre-owned. They are MASTERS OF DECEPTION. SOMEONE GOT GREEDY - I recently found a vehicle for my daughter on the website of a dealer I had purchased a vehicle from previously. (Loyal customer returns..right??). The 11 year old vehicle was over- daughter on the website of a dealer I had purchased a vehicle from previously. (Loyal customer returns..right??). The 11 year old vehicle was over-priced, but we were willing to fork over the advertised price plus fees. I asked the salesman for the "out-the-door price." I noticed that the dealer has added a $500 "Certification" fee, something I did not pay just 9 months ago in our previous purchase from this dealer. I questioned this additional fee and tried to negotiate it off the price. Well, I was given $100 credit for being a return customer..and scolded by the saleman that , "All fees are non-negotiable." We were then told that the advertised fee ONLY applied to customers who use their financing. Another $500.00 fee was tacked on. In addition to the other fees, we were looking at over $2000.00 in fees for a 11 year old over-priced Toyota. We walked out of that dealership NEVER to return. Buyer beware!! More
