Recently bought my Volkswagen EOS komfort and everyone was extremely nice(great customer service). Buyer beware! I recently bought a used 2006 pickup truck from Hampstead. There were several problems with the truck, which they said they would fix. I pointed out t I recently bought a used 2006 pickup truck from Hampstead. There were several problems with the truck, which they said they would fix. I pointed out that one of the tires was very low in air. They promised to fix it. After driving the truck home, three days later I noticed the same tire was again low in air. When I looked closely, I found two nails in the tire, with one nail too close to the sidewall to be patched safely. I called Hampstead service department and informed them of the problem. First they said there was no record of any issue with the tire. I then called the sales guy, who remembered I pointed out the problem but said there was little he could do, it was up to senior management. After much back and forth, their answer was the same: you can bring it in here and we'll replace the tire, but will have to charge you for it. So my message is, don't let this happen to you! If you buy a vehicle from these guys, don't trust them to do things right. Check it over carefully before you sign. And double check before you drive away to make sure any issues were fixed. If you see a problem and they say it was fixed, make them put it in writing. I didn't do that, and had to pay $227. for a new tire to replace the bad one that was on this truck when they sold it. More
