Although I love Lexus cars, I recently started to see a pattern of recalls, and car repair issues, one specific issue, burning or using oil. One of my priorities is dependability and thus I like Toyota, Nissan and Honda best. Years ago I test drove and loved a used Infiniti Q45, but couldn't afford it. A good friend owned the same car and we had many good road trips, guess I always thought I would give Infiniti a try. My cousin worked for Harte Infiniti in Sales for a number of years, a number of years ago, and always spoke highly of Harte and the people that worked there. I guess like most people I was a bit apprehensive about dealing with car dealers. I've learned that luxury or high end car dealers aspire to differentiate themselves from middle of the road car dealers by providing a more red carpet service. But in my mind, you should still be wary of some of the historically, less than customer oriented tactics they use to sell you a car. Well I was very pleasantly enlightened, with my car buying experience from Harte Infiniti. For sure I got the Red Carpet treatment every step of the way, I felt like I was buying a Rolls Royce. But what really impressed me was the transparency, honesty and absolute genuine desire of the entire staff, from the Receptionist, to Anower, the Sales Representative, to Jay the Used Car Manager/Appraiser, to Carmen the Business Manager, to Nate the General Manager, to provide an unparalleled car buying experience. I still can't believe it, these guys really get it. Although I thought I wanted a coupe when I entered the dealership, Anower, after patiently listening to my likes and dislikes and thoughtfully probing about my needs, intuitively new I'd be happier with the top of the line Q70, and from memory, immediately brought the perfect car for me to the door for test drive. After setting us up with carte blanche, at near by restaurant, he, in a whirlwind, this guy is high energy, make the customer happy all the way, assured me that he would secure the best way to purchase ...leasing ..financing ...based on our agreed upon terms. As I am a car fanatic, and had religiously cared for my car in and out I was considering trying sell my car myself, even though the trade in price they gave me was the best I had received from the two or three dealers I had already seen. This is where I really learned that Harte has a Heart...lol... After completing the transaction and happily driving away with my gorgeous new Q70. I realized that although, I may be able to sell my well cared for car, 2007 Lexus GS 350, at a slightly higher price, than the trade in price. It's the financing. The potential buyers could not always ..easily get the financing to buy it. Hat in hand, I called Nate the General Manger, and expecting zero consideration after the sale, I explained my dilemma. Gracious, is an understatement, like a father welcoming his wayward son back with open arms, he unraveled the transaction and saved me from a very costly mistake, having two car payments etc. I know the Harte Auto Group has many brands, but I also know that an organization sets the standards from the top, and based on my experience, there is no other place to buy a car than from Harte! Harte took advantage of my bad situation - DisHARTEning I loved my Infiniti FX35 since the day I bought it. But lately I have been so disappointed in Infiniti and recently Harte Infiniti. What has happened I loved my Infiniti FX35 since the day I bought it. But lately I have been so disappointed in Infiniti and recently Harte Infiniti. What has happened to good customer service? Caring about your customer? Doing the right thing? I was on my way to MA from PA and my transmission just decided to die. I was alone and stranded. I got it towed to Harte and after much ado they quoted me $8400 to replace the transmission and provided me with a list (unsolicited) of other items that they sought out that were wrong with my car; a car that has been properly and religiously maintained and was just checked before my long journey on vacation. A list that totaled over $18,000! Absurd! Obscene! Nevertheless, I had my car towed back to PA and it the transmission rebuilt for $4100. This dealership, although the people in service were very nice, took great advantage of me and my situation. Shame on you Harte and Infiniti! I was looking forward to my new Infiniti but this experience with Harte and with Infiniti has been terrible- not the way to treat your existing Infiniti customers and potential continued customers. Usually I walk into a dealership and immediately want to leave, but Daniel treated me like another human being, not just another sale. I would go to Harte Infiniti for my next car whether it may be new or used again. I know this all may sound cliché but at the end of the day if someone was looking for a new or used car I would suggest Harte Infiniti because they are thumbs up all around. Joe Finelli at Harte was tremendous at helping me understand options I had in purchasing a new vehicle and and trading in my previous vehicle. He was extremely knowledgable about the SUV line of Infinit vs. other competitors and why staying in the Infiniti family was more valuable to me as a customer and quality vehicle. Excellant exprience I had been searching for a well kept Infinity QX56 or 80 for approximately a month. I searched local dealers (most not Infinity dealers), and even too I had been searching for a well kept Infinity QX56 or 80 for approximately a month. I searched local dealers (most not Infinity dealers), and even took a look at quite a few listings. However, I finally took a ride to Hartford ,Ct to Harte Infinity and was very please with their inventory. I was greeted in the lobby by very nice young lady who then introced me to Mr. Joe Finelli,. Joe who showed me around the facility and provided me with information regarding service for the vehicles. I found him to be very knowledgable about the Infinity line , and a pleasant person to speak with about my requirements. which put me very much at ease .He finally showed me a very nice and clean, QX 56 with low milaege, that I really had not considered...Mountain Sage!? Joe suggested that we take this QX56 for a test drive on city streets and on the highway as well. I was very impressed with the quietness, the confortable ride and of course the power of the V8! Something at this point impressed me very much (not easy to do) about Joe anf the Infinity sales team. My wife was not available to come with me to Hatre Infinity, so I asked if I could take the vehicle home to get her thoughts regarding this Infinity QX56. While I reall didn't expect them to consider my request, imagine my surprise when they gave me the ok to do so! Quite frankly at this point, I was sold, but still wanted the bosses thoughts...she love it! We negoiated a very fair price , that I was willing to pay, no hassles, no crazy back and forth about the trade in values etc. (again I was impressed). So, all paperwork compleated, spoke with Mr. Carmen Mazzarella, who was also very professional and provided me with all pertinent financial information and payment schedules. The QX56 was serviced, cleaned and gased for me and ready for pick up...which I now proudly own and drive, Mountain Sage, who knew, thanks Joe! The complete experience with Harte Infinity of Hartford, CT. was an excellant experience, and believe me I've had others that were not even close! I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to my family and friends for their professionalism, knowledge and just an overall willingness to work with the customer for an overall excellant experience.
