2019 Rav4 Gas Gauge Issue! I originally gave a stellar review to Hartford Toyota when I first picked up my 2019 Rav4 Hybrid back on 12/14/19. Everyone involved was great. I did I originally gave a stellar review to Hartford Toyota when I first picked up my 2019 Rav4 Hybrid back on 12/14/19. Everyone involved was great. I did quickly realize, with only 500 miles on the car, that it had the fuel gauge problem that so many people are talking about - which includes the 2020 year as well - google "2019 Rav4 Hybrid gas gauge problem" to see what I'm talking about! The problem is you cannot fill the 14.5 gallon tank more than 10 gallons which affects the "Distance to Empty" (DTE) the car can actually travel between tank fill-ups. I specifically purchased this hybrid to be able to travel 475-500 miles between fill-ups and now cannot, unless the problem is solved and you cannot trust the DTE because it's not correct. I've spoken to Toyota Customer Service and was told every dealership knows about this issue, and it's a hit or miss if you are unfortunate to buy a car with this problem, but the buyer should be made aware of this possibility nonetheless. Just an update that Hartford Toyota is collaborating with Toyota Headquarters to investigate this further. More

Above and Beyond I had 9 months left on my lease and was already over the mileage. I drove out of the dealership in a new-to-me RAV4 that I'm loving so far. Henry Montgomery helped me to pick out a car I actually liked that was within my price range. Gaetano Pagliano went over my different options with me to figure out how to pay off my mileage fees. Tony Mumtaz fought for me to get good financing and Carlos Orozco helped me fill out all the paperwork so I could bring my new car home. All of them worked hard to get me the car I wanted within my budget, and to give me a great experience. I can't recommend them enough! More
