I had a huge nail in my tire and it went completely flat. I called made an appointment, got it towed there and got Karen as my advisor. She was patient and nice while I was worried about how they would fix my car and the costs. First I was told 3 to 4 days until it can even be looked at. I was upset but I understood. By the end of day my car was completely fixed, and all other issues also resolved. I couldn't of been happier with this dealership. Great job, great service, fast results. Thanks. More
This was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional service experiences I have ever had. My F150 had a check engine light. Called the dealer and they said to bring it that day 01/13 and they would have service experiences I have ever had. My F150 had a check engine light. When I got there, they told me that they would have to diagnose it before a rental was authorized, and they would not be able to do it that day. Ok, no problem. I then made an appointment for Monday 01/19 at 7:30am so I could be seen that day. When I dropped it off, the service advisor, Rich, said he would call by 2pm with updates. Around 4pm, I had to call and leave a voicemail to ask for updates. Rich called back and said they didn’t get a chance to look at it that day and they would look at it tomorrow 01/20. Ok, fine. I understand people call out of work and you are short staffed. Tuesday 01/21 I get a text that the truck was diagnosed. Great! When I called to inquire about the rental car I was entitled to now, or see if the truck would be ready that day, no one would pick up the phone. When Rich did answer, he told me to “stop pushing people’s buttons”. I don’t feel I’m pushing people’s buttons when I was just looking for basic answers about if I need to come pick up a rental or if the car would be ready that day. I cannot be without a car and have no timetable about when I would get mine back. The moment I informed Rich that I was on my way to the dealership—either to pick up my truck or to leave with a rental car that is covered under my plan—the truck suddenly became “ready.” Magically. After he had just told me they didn’t know when it would be done that day, tomorrow, or even if they began working on the truck. That immediately raises serious concerns about whether any real repair work was performed at all, or if the vehicle was rushed out simply to avoid providing a rental. Based on how this was handled, I now have legitimate doubts about whether my truck was properly diagnosed or repaired. I would strongly caution anyone considering Hempstead Ford or its service department, which is a shame because I have been coming here for more then 10 years, and some family members are in the market for a new Ford. If you value honesty, clear communication, and confidence that work is actually being done on your vehicle, look elsewhere. Also, make sure they take their garbage out of your car before it’s returned to you. Carefully inspect your car before you accept it back as well. I found a new door ding on my truck after having it washed on my way home. I would not have been able to see it at the dealership because they did not wash it and it had salt on it (not really their fault it was dirty, but they usually include a complementary wash, which I did not get) I believe I take exceptional care of my truck and know that that ding was not there when I brought it in.
