They're Crooks! NEVER set foot in this dealership again and only gave one star because zero stars was not an option. My daughter took her CRV in for a factory r NEVER set foot in this dealership again and only gave one star because zero stars was not an option. My daughter took her CRV in for a factory recall on a passenger airbag. The airbag was replaced and less than 2 miles from the dealership a red SRS light came on. So she brought it back and they said it was airbag sensors that went bad but unrelated to the airbag work done 5 minutes earlier and quoted her $1,000 for a repair. When she told me about it I was sure there was some mix up so I called the service manager Jason. He said for me to bring the car back in and he would have it looked at again. So this morning I brought it back and they "retested" everything and I was told that the sensors that had the issues were not located near the airbag that was replaced and had no connection to the recall repair. Their contention was the sensors "just happened to go bad" immediately after the repair on the same system and unrelated to the recall repair. So they would like me to believe that work done on an airbag that goes off in your car could not have impacted the sensors that set off that airbag even though they are obviously part of the same system? REALLY, THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE ASKING ME TO BELIEVE??? And on top of that now the quote for the repair jumped to $1,600!!! I have a great local mechanic I typically use for repairs who looked at their quote and said it was a $400 repair that was definitely related to the airbag replacement and should be covered. He feels they inflated the cost of the work to make up for the cost of having to do the recall work. Maybe that's why the guy they sent to talk with me this AM offered to work on the price with me. I have bought 6 new Hondas in the last 12 years (including 2 at this dealership since we moved to Charlotte) and have a lease coming up on a Civic in 13 months but will not give these crooks that business either... Emergency service The battery in my only car died. I called the service department and Andrea immediately assured me that all would be well. She gave me the number of The battery in my only car died. I called the service department and Andrea immediately assured me that all would be well. She gave me the number of their roadside assist company and a tow came and got my car. Andrea called to let me know it had arrived. When the work was done, she called to tell me the outcome and that my car was on its way and who the driver was. Before long I had the car back, fixed and freshly washed! In this time of uncertainty and grave concern it is reassuring to have people who will look out for you and help you maintain the minimum of normal life, like having a car to go to the grocery store. I have dealt with Hendrick Honda for 15 years - through 4 vehicles - and have never been disappointed in their vehicles or service. More
