In addition, the waiting area has many of the conveniences of home - snacks, TV, comfortable chairs. Usually when I am there, I lose track of time. And thanks Mr. Shepherd for my birthday wishes. Hendrick Lexus Northlake has been the worst dealership experience of my life. They are deceptive, careless, and flat-out disrespectful. Back in March 2025, they told me I had a nail in my tire and insiste experience of my life. They are deceptive, careless, and flat-out disrespectful. Back in March 2025, they told me I had a nail in my tire and insisted I needed to replace all four tires because they “couldn’t replace or repair just one.” Funny, because I had just bought a full set of new tires from them in December 2024, plus an extra spare for emergencies like this. They then had the nerve to tell me my spare tire wouldn’t fit—the same spare I purchased with the original set. Their solution? They threw a wet, filthy tire on my back seat, leaving a massive dirty tire print on my upholstery. That’s how little they care about their customers’ property. I’ve been in contact with David Shepherd, who seemed to care at first, but after I dropped my car off on Thursday, it’s been complete radio silence. No updates. No follow-up. Just disregard. This dealership has shown me they are liars who prey on customers’ trust, and once they have your money, you and your vehicle mean nothing to them. People of color, take this as a warning. Find a dealership that respects you and your business—because Hendrick Lexus Northlake absolutely does not. They’ve proven it time and time again. They will smile in your face, lie to you, and mishandle your vehicle without a second thought. They do not deserve your business. More
Purchased car new from Hendrick in 2016. Since we purchased car steering wheel has made a strange noise when you turn it but dealer claims it is nothing. At 70,00 miles mechanic claimed wate Since we purchased car steering wheel has made a strange noise when you turn it but dealer claims it is nothing. At 70,00 miles mechanic claimed water pump was leaking. I took car to a different Lexus dealership and mechanic found no leak, Last service for an oil change at 80,000 miles., Car is 9 years old. No mention of any leaks from water pump but mechanic recommended LWR ball joint needed to be replaced because it was leaking. No noise, no play, no tire wear just a little grease. I took the car to two other shops, one a toyota dealership, and both told me that you do not need to replace a ball joint if there is just a little grease and no other symptoms. Hendrick mechanic also stated that we needed to replace the front lower control arm because the bushings were ripping. No clanking, no squeaks, no tire wear, no abs light and no movement in steering wheel when you brake. Same two other shops said they found no symptoms that bushings were failing and found only normal wear and tear. I was told bushings did not need to be replaced. The car has only been serviced by Hendrick Lexus. If your car is being serviced by Hendrick Lexus Northlake and mechanic tells you the car is need of a major service, but car is driving fine, get a second opinion. If we still have car at 90,000 miles will take back to Hendrick and see if they mention a water pump, ball joint or control arm bushing or recommend something else. Northlake is our local dealership.
