Because I put a deposit on an allocated vehicle that was not yet built, my purchase experience was longer than most people will experience. Throughout that entire period of time, Jimmy was always courteous, very proactive with communications to me, and from day one I felt Jimmy exceeded my expectations for the vehicle purchase experience. From the moment I walked in the door to the time I drove my new vehicle home, I did not experience anything negative. Service Dept needs attitude improvement and show a little more courtesy and respect to their customers. My experience was not a pleasant one. And needless to say, I won’t be back. I had just bought the new Camry and the first time we washed it we noticed the wheel was bent. I scheduled an appointment to check it out. They tried to say I had hit a pothole. I had not. I finally had one guy examine it closer and said had I hit a pothole that bent the rim, it would have blown my tire out. So I finally convinced them it was like that when I bought it. It was damaged from the factory. So I made an appointment for two weeks later when the wheel came in and nobody called to let me know. So I made an appointment for Saturday and the only thing they had available was at 7:30 am that day. I made the appointment for the following Saturday at 11:30. Then I got an email reminding me of my appointment on Saturday @ 7;30 am. I called and made sure that was cancelled. The lady told me I was down for the filling Saturday at 11:30. I have to drive an hour. So when I get there for my appointment, the service guy was not very friendly. He proceeded to tell my appointment had been at 7:30 and I had missed it and the appointment previously. I had not missed that appointment, they just didn’t do anything but order the wheel. Then he made mention I had probably hit a pothole that caused the damage. At this point I was livid. He said they’d have to work me in even though I did have an appointment and he said it could take hours. He let me know it was my fault. And not to mention they took the car in front of me. I had been waiting in line for 10 minutes or more. A car pulled in beside me and they took them on. I asked him how do I go about making an appointment since I had such a hard time. But he ignored me. I didn’t take but over an hour. But with this first experience I will not be back. I will find another Toyota dealership where I hope I will be treated with a little more respect. I bought this car new. And paid a lot for it. And I had a very good experience buying it. So I was very disappointed on the service side. I am not one to ever complain. And I don’t expect to be treated any different than the next person. But from the first visit when they kept telling me I had just hit a pothole and would not listen to me! I knew that was not what had happened. I left there very stressed and aggravated. More
