Mark Higdon Is Our Car Guy For LIFE! I tend to be picky about customer service reps. I work in customer service, so I know a good one when I meet them. I have been looking for a car for a I tend to be picky about customer service reps. I work in customer service, so I know a good one when I meet them. I have been looking for a car for a month now, following an accident in November, and had already seen a lot of vehicles. I went into Hendrick after a very stressful day of dealership after dealership and was immediately paired up with Mark. I let him know what kind of vehicle I was looking for and gave him my price range. I know you aren't supposed to disclose your budget to anybody for negotiations' sake, but it had been a long weekend, and I wanted him to know up front that we weren't millionaires. Mark took us down to check out vehicles and never once pushed anything on us. He stayed within budget (didn't take us took look at anything even a cent beyond our price range, which was refreshing after so many people telling us we could afford more than we actually could) and rather than pointing out vehicles he liked, asked about my lifestyle and about what was really important to me in a vehicle. He didn't once make me feel less than for buying a used vehicle and even steered us away from a car or two that were lesser deals for the money. We only test drove one car and Mark was awesome through it, pointing out features without making a pitch and talking me through what I should be paying attention to and giving me opportunities to test the car's handling, finding a place we could u-turn and pointing out a good long stretch of road to test acceleration ability. He asked what I liked and didn't once pressure me to make decisions or buy today and didn't knock any of the other cars we had been looking at. When I told him we knew it would be a tough decision he fully understood, and didn't make us feel like it would break his day if we didn't want the car. He was a picture perfect PROFESSIONAL. I hope that all car sales personnel endeavor to be like him. He gave us time to talk about things by ourselves and then talked through everything with us, without a sales pitch. Not even a little bit. Which gave us room to think about what we wanted to do, rather than feeling like we needed to get away from the sales people.. And I had just been to look at a RAV4 at a different Toyota dealership the day before. I liked it then, but had to get out of there to think about it, because the sales rep was so pushy. I figured I'd approach a different place, and boy did that work out! Mark helped us through negotiations and felt very much like a part of team New Car, not like it was me vs them. Long story short: I took home a beautiful 2013 RAV4. Mark was amazing during our entire stay. By the time all of the paperwork was signed he felt like a friend. He genuinely cares about his customers and doesn't seem to be just out to make a quick buck. If you want a no pressure, super friendly, considerate, and patient sales experience, go see Mark. His consummate professionalism and dazzling personality will grant you the BEST care buying experience possible. Exemplary customer service. In this case, this did NOT happen. I had been in search of a used Toyota 4Runner for 4+ months and had been to 2-3 different dealers, with no luck. I wanted a specific year range with specific options and I didn't think it was asking too much. Then, I met Ken [Nance]. One of the first things he told me (with confidence) was that he WOULD get me in the 4Runner I desired. Ken knew exactly what I wanted, where I needed to be payment and option wise, and he delivered. He was able to get my payment lowered AND he did it on a brand new (2018) 4Runner SR5 Premium! Not only is Ken one of the most genuine human beings I've ever met, but he is also one of the most trustworthy people as well; I can read people very well! He took very well care of me;thanks Ken! Although I wasn’t initially clear on my purchase time frame, Brandon reached out frequently via email just to let me know he was still there and available. The delivery process was also smooth as I was picked up from my work location when it was time to sign the final papers. In addition to the help from Brandon, Pete Barnhardt was a big help in the process to help with financing and tags after purchase.
