Disappointingly Surprised I'll just get my points across. Lack of knowledge about the smart car. First I looked in the glove box to pull out the manual before the test drive of the Smart Fortwo and asked if this was the manual, the salesmen Jim Hitchcock said yes. Well it was actually the manual to the radio. I didn't get a manual with my car. I had to research everything about the car after I bought it. I was in a situation where I couldn't leave without buying a car but that's on me. After he pulled up with it ready for us to drive away in he said he "personally washed the car" well it was still very dirty so I asked him to take it back there and actually wash it. He came back a second time and it was a noticeable difference. I don't like being lied to. I still decided it was a good deal and went to talk to a finance rep regardless of how foolish Mr Hitchcock made the dealership look. I talked to Matt B (I forgot his last name) and he was pretty helpful in working with Ally financial to get me approved, too bad he didn't explain the $1985.00 warranty I purchased in full detail. He explained what it covered and that's it. Let's fast forward to last week. I went to the sort of rude Mr Allen the service rep and he pretty much said no to me before I even got to what was going on with the car. After I gave him an attitude back which I know I shouldn't have but this dealership was already on my bad side. He said they don't work on smart cars. I said the check engine light is on then he went out there and couldn't find the port to slide the diagnosis machine into. Flash back to when I was purchasing the car. Matt never explained that the warranty I bought wouldn't be covered at the place I bought the warranty from. I called Ally Financial and they explained it. I ended up cancelling it anyways because the nearest place that works on smart cars is too far from me. My time there was my first and my last visit. I'm actually very surprised this place has high ratings. I felt like it was an old fashioned slick eye browed dealership. The kind that makes people wary of salesmen and makes other salesmen in general look bad. More
