This is my 2nd attempt to do business with this dealership. Now I think I’ve figured it out. I have excellent car credit, have financed vehicles well over 50k without any issues obtaining financing dealership. Now I think I’ve figured it out. I have excellent car credit, have financed vehicles well over 50k without any issues obtaining financing YET each time I reach out to this dealer’s finance department “I need a co-signer.” I haven’t had a co-signer since my 20’s because I’ve earned the honor of having excellent car credit. At least 20 vehicles. It hit me today and I’m going to say it. There is an unconscious bias against people of color within the finance department. I think they purposely don’t take the time to structure the deal properly. The bank they claimed I need a co-signer for has financed multiple vehicles for me, at multiple times, and simultaneously. I call xx. And it’s really sad but if you’re a person of color, this is generally what’s happening. Either that OR the finance team doesn’t know how to structure deals. I was approved automatically through my credit union and have never had an issue obtaining financing at a dealership! This is NOT remotely the most competent dealership. Oh and they sell a lot of branded/lemon titled vehicles. Have fun with this foolishness. Lee advised me that my names didn’t match/couldn’t be verified-what? You have my driver’s license! I was really satisfied with my purchase of a loaner defender with very low mileage. Dealing with them was fantastic and they made the process very easy, especially since I was in a lease that only BMW defender with very low mileage. It was definitely a great deal to get out of a lease two years early. Although I didn't plan on buying a car that day, the numbers worked out in my favor, so I went ahead with the purchase. It was a simple and satisfying decision. The car has been fantastic. And I'm looking forward to driving it several more years.
