I have been coming here for service for a few years, and they are always professional, knowledgeable, and just generally really nice to deal with. From the young men at the door when you drop your car, to they are always professional, knowledgeable, and just generally really nice to deal with. Specifically, Sean is always amazing (the best!) and Janet and Dairith (sp?) at the payment desk. I went to Herb Chambers Honda of Boston on Saturday, February 14th. I was interested in purchasing a new car and trading in my 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring. I initially saw the vehicle in which February 14th. I was interested in purchasing a new car and trading in my 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring. I initially saw the vehicle in which I was interested in the exterior color I wanted at Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington. I exchanged emails with the very helpful Sales Associate there named Stephen, who assured me the car could be transferred to the Boston location close to where I live. I had exchanged texts with Myles at the Boston site. I had an appointment for Saturday afternoon but something came up and I emailed Myles that I needed to reschedule. He informed me the sales event was ending Saturday (which I discovered was a lie as it went through Presidents Day). I asked for Alfredo, the Sales Manager as Myles had directed me. I was connected with Keith one of Sales Specialists. I told him the vehicle in which I was interested (which again was at the Burlington site), gave him the payoff amount on my trade in, told him the amount I was putting down towards the new car, and that I wanted to finance the new car for 5 years. He initially seemed confused about the vehicle I wanted. He then came back with a proposal which had finance interest rates in the high 8s and 9s such that my monthly payment would be over 100 dollars more than I paid on my current vehicle. When I pointed this out he responded that I must have put down more of a down payment on my current vehicle (which was not true). The offer for my trade in was ridiculously low as my current car had low mileage and was in good condition and coincidentally, which I purchased from this same dealership. I told him that I was not interested and got up and walked to the door. He came after me and reprimanded me when I did not respond initially to him calling my name. He then urged me to come back in and see if I could get a better finance rate through Honda Finance. His manner was abrupt and rude. By that time, the damage was done and I left. I then received a voice mail message from Alfredo, the Sales Manager, as well as texts who explained the initial high rates are required to be presented first, then if people qualify credit wise, a lower rate may be found (something Keith never mentioned to me). He urged me to return to speak directly with Finance. I also received an email from Tom, the General Manager, the following day who also offered to have me directed to Finance. I told both of them that I was no longer interested in doing business with them. I did recommend that the Sales Specialist with whom I interacted needs a review on how to interact appropriately with customers. The General Manager said he would speak with his entire team. I had a very positive experience when I purchased my current vehicle at Herb Chambers Honda of Boston 15 month ago. Unfortunately, I would no longer recommend Herb Chambers Honda of Boston unless you want to be low balled (if you have a trade in vehicle) or given misleading high finance rates or want overall poor customer service. Sean DeSilva and Susan the District manager were absolutely phenomenal in helping resol visit, I can't say enough good things about this dealership. I've been going here for years and Sean Desilva has been my go to person for every problem. He was transparent about prices and have always had my best interest at heart. Sean DeSilva is the reason I bring my car to Herb Chambers Honda for service. Three years ago I had an unpleasant experience at another Honda dealer so I tried Herb's for this particular situation (i Chambers Honda for service. Three years ago I had an unpleasant experience at another Honda dealer so I tried Herb's for this particular situation (involving a check engine light, a possible recall issue, etc). Sean took care of it all while going out of his way to explain everything in great detail. He is ALWAYS busy but will always take the time necessary to keep me informed. And he does his best to get my car back to me asap. And my 10 year old Fit seems to still be running well. :) Frankly, it's a bit inconvenient for me to bring the car to this location but as long as Sean is there I plan to continue having it serviced here. More
