After looking for a vehicle all week long, I came into the Heritage dealership and became stauss free. I met with Dontae who was very skillful of his job duties. I informed him the price that I was willing to spend. He found what vehicles that would fit my rangle. The selection was really great. Dontae has great experience and I would recommend anyone to visit this dealership and look for Dontae Davis. More
My experience with this dealership was WONDERFUL all because of Dontae' Davis, who provided exceptional customer service during my visit. Dontae' was very knowledgeable about the Buick LaCrosse and wa because of Dontae' Davis, who provided exceptional customer service during my visit. Dontae' was very knowledgeable about the Buick LaCrosse and was able to answer any and every question I had about the vehicle. Dontae' was very enthusiastic and conversational durnig those long awkward moments when all of the "behind -the-scene" activities were taking place. His demeanor let me know I could trust that he had my best interest at heart. I intend to return to this dealership in the future should I need to purchase another vehicle. The overall ease and convenience of this purchses was hands down a solid 10! More
Our visit (08:30 am)to Heritage was for the Oil Change + Diagnostics benefit afforded our 2004 Saturn Vue, with 43K miles. With Ricky Walston, we have had a long term relationship and rely heavily on his recommendations. As women love to shop, my wife began roaming through the lot, while I waited patiently for our car. She came back, with that look in her eye. I know it because that's how we got the 2004 Vue. She lead me to a slightly used 2010 HHR. Ed observed us from a distance, with a friendly smile on his face. I struggled to get her back to the service bay, but she then went to Ricky and asked about particulars on the HHR. With a very good recommendation for service, she waltzed me back to the car, where Ed explained the particulars and took us for a test drive. My being 6'4', it had to pass my test of comfort, and it did. As women sometimes change their minds, as Ed was taking us back to the showroom, she spied a HHR-SS Crytal Red on the floor. That was it, but it was a manual shift. She had Ed spend have the day looking for a HHR-L2 of that color and with several wanted options. The car was located in Pennsylvania. While we settled finances with Gordon, Ed drove to retrieve the car. While waiting for Ed to return. we were treated to the largest truck we have ever sat in, by Tony. The friendly atmosphere in the showroom was ever evident when we immediately came back in and said we couldn't get into the truck. We have had a 17 year relationship with Heritage Owings Mills Saturn and almost that many years with Ricky. Heritage has always treated us fairly and kept our many cars in very good working order, even our 1994 Saturn SW2, donated to charity in 2009. We will continue to use Heritage and have on many ocassions recommended it. More
We were not happy w/your dealership b/c we were mislead due to lack of knowledge by online rep. Did not tell me that car did not have on-star after I explained that I wanted to subscribe this time due to due to lack of knowledge by online rep. Did not tell me that car did not have on-star after I explained that I wanted to subscribe this time due to a recent accident. Said car was not on site so he didn't know but it was there several days before we came to see it so it could have been checked out during that time. Kept us there dickering over price for 5 1/2 hours and then aggreed to a price only $15 over our offer. Car was preowned certified but not GM certified. I didn't know there was a difference as I personally do not buy GM. I did mention that I wanted it certified b/c of the 12K miles or 12 mo. warranty that that comes w/it. That should have been a pretty good indication of what I was expecting!!! I was told that was OVERKILL b/c of the fact that it had such low mileage and was still under warranty. How stupid is that. Any extra warranty is always to the buyers advantage!! Agreed to certify but I do not have a record of what was done if anything to bring it up the that certification. Also agreed to "touch up" all of the dings and scratches. VERY POOR JOB. You can see exactly where all the scratches are. Paint is GLOBBED on and looks bad. Didn't do some areas. Other dealerships have willingly touched up paint for me several times in the past when I purchased cars, and I couldn't even tell it had been toucherd up. We were told that it would have cost too much to do it better! We will have to take it somewhere reputable to fix the mess they made. They originally said they could give us $150 to have it done ourselves, what they did certainly DID NOT cost Heritage that much. I could have done it better myself, I've done a few touch ups on my cars in the past and DID a better job. OH yes, with the tube of paint provided by the dealership for future scratches. NON HERE! I will not ever come back to any Heritage dealership nor will I recommend them to anyone in the future. All the big guys came over to try to get us to pay more but we had already told them how much we would pay and what we expected in return. As a result we sat in traffic for another 2 hours to get home in rush hour. Over 60 mile drive times 4. They also tried to convence my husband to "make a deal" while I was out of the area. Rather underhanded I'd say. More
My buying experience with John Cannon was great, he was able to answer all my question and prepare several quote for multiple vehicles . I also found them to be very percise in completing and discussing al able to answer all my question and prepare several quote for multiple vehicles . The ratings above mainly reflect our interactions with Dontae and Gordon. Dontae is the sales associate we dealt with and Gordon is the business manager in the finance office. On our initial visit, we dea Dontae and Gordon. Dontae is the sales associate we dealt with and Gordon is the business manager in the finance office. On our initial visit, we dealt with Dontae who was pleasant, interested in finding out what we wanted in a vehicle, and not pushy. We subsequently dealt with another sales person who had a different set of interpersonal skills, which is fine, but after spending all day finding a vehicle, he basically dropped the ball on calling/securing the vehicle despite the fact that he told us it would be there for us to pick up on a certain day. It seems he just wanted us out of there and we ended up with nothing but wasted time and disappointment. I didn't realize that cars were flying off of the lot in this economy. In any event we dealt with Dontae again upon return and had success. I was expecting to get into the finance office and find that the price of the car had mysteriously increased as the horror stories go, however the promised price was honored. Gordon was very informative and pleasant. (As a side note, I think they gave us a much more fair amount for our trade than many dealers would have). Had our first and only experience been with the above un-named sales person, we definitely would not have returned to this dealership. However, I think if we had only interacted with Dontae, our overall experience would have been much better. Overall we are pleased with the vehicle and feel the price was fair. More
I recently lost my car due to weather conditions. I did research and originally was looking into purchasing either a 2004 or 2005 Chevy Malibu. Kelly Blue Book value was between 8,700-9,100(excellent condi research and originally was looking into purchasing either a 2004 or 2005 Chevy Malibu. Kelly Blue Book value was between 8,700-9,100(excellent condition which neither was) but one dealer was offering 9,400(I thought was too much); Heritage on the other hand was offering 8,499 which was below KBB! I made an appointment to come out to see the car. I didn't have to wait for a call or for some one to see me, when I got there I was automatically greeted and taken in! They really wanted my business and I can honestly say that they had my best interests in mind when they told me they didn't want to sell me a used car b/c it would be a waste when they could easily get me approved for a new 2010 Cobalt/ Aveo around the same price. To make a long story short Mr. Oxendine, Mr. Nelson, and Mr. Jeff was a blessing they took the time to find the best deal and situation for me, they explained everything to me left nothing to question, weren't pushy, contradicting, or deceptive! All I can say is it's worth going to these people to look or buy a car; you might just be surprised to find that a NEW car isn't a fantasy. More
I have went to many Chevrolet Dealerships throughout Maryland and this one in particular was by far the friendliest. All of the staff was very welcoming and worked very efficiently when taking care of b Maryland and this one in particular was by far the friendliest. I decided on trying out some vehicles at Heritage after seeing their prices online, which are pretty fair for what the offer. I will describe my experience from start to finish: 1. ONLINE - The website seeing their prices online, which are pretty fair for what the offer. I will describe my experience from start to finish: 1. ONLINE - The website has a credit pre-approval rating. I applied and it said I was accepted, but two days later I learned that I wasn't. Weird. Salesman calls and says dont come in and waste your time. Ok. Fortunately he calls a couple of hours later and says he was able to find me a lender, I just had to come in to find out the interest rate. 2. THE TEST DRIVE- My salesman was very nice in letting me test drive the vehicles, but as a well informed consumer there wasn't much new information I could be given on the cars. 3. NEGOTIATIONS - On the phone I was told that the internet/employee prices were negotiable, but in person I was told they were not. First by salesman #1, then by salesman #2 who said it with a firm, deadpan look. OK, whatever. Here begins the back and forth. I go outside to make a phone call, and I guess they think I am leaving, and salesguy #1 comes back saying they will lower the price. I tell them that I need more time to think about it, and they don't want to give me that AT ALL. Then salesguy #3 comes in and is trying to guilt me into getting the car, even throwing my crappy credit rating and loan declines in my face..dude, seriously. I know am going to get a car, I just want to sleep on it. This is intimidating, especially as a single woman buying a car. After a few more negotiations in my favor, I end up purchasing it. They offered me a deal I could not refuse. 4. FINANCE - This was the last stage, and I am happy to report that this guy was pretty awesome. Great job explaining all the add-ons that they were trying to sell me. Let me take the ones off that I decided against, even when it meant he had to restart all the paperwork. Thanks for being a good sport. Wonder if he will be so nice when I call in to try and cancel my gap insurance in a couple of days.. 5. LEAVING - It was a nice touch for them to have the vehicle cleaned again, for me. Very nice job. Drove off happy. Overall I would recommend them. But as a consumer you should be well informed on every vehicle you are interested in purchasing. More
