I recently purchased a new 2012 Elantra from this dealer. The negotiating was painless (I feel we made a fair deal) and they gave me a great price for my trade-in. Matt Long was an excellent help and I really appreciated his candor. I had contacted a few dealers before my purchase and he was the only one that gave me a rough price via email. Purchasing a car can sometimes feel like a burden, but he made the whole process quick and easy. It was more like having a friend walk you through the purchase rather than talking to a salesperson that is trying to sell you all of the additional packages. As far as the personality of the dealership, it is a no-frills approach. I wasn't looking for any fluff that I've seen at some other dealerships (enticing you with spa-like treatment) so it was a welcomed approach. Given I had done my market research and new what I was looking for, but it was nice not to be constantly upsold, or talked into unnecessary packages. Even with the additional warranty services (in addition to Hyundai's unmatched 100,000 mile/10 year warranty) it was a simple "tell us what YOU want" attitude. More
My wife and I, both residents of Towson for our entire lives (34 years), went to about 10 different dealerships before we even visited Heritage Hyundai of Towson. Prior to doing so we researched their sa lives (34 years), went to about 10 different dealerships before we even visited Heritage Hyundai of Towson. Prior to doing so we researched their sales staff pretty thoroughly to make sure we had the name of a sales rep that had strong reviews from previous clients. Not to dismiss any of the other qualified staff but we found that George Small had some definitively positive reviews and so I decided that we would seek him out prior to test driving any vehicles. From the outset, George emits a vibe of patience and positivity. I visited and emailed George quite a few times before my wife even entered the picture and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge, and once again, his patience. I cannot understate how important it is to me that a salesperson has patience. Being in sales myself, I believe that patience is the ultimate separation between someone that I want to deal with versus someone that just wants to deal with me and get it over with. I'll admit that I gave George some less than perfect buyers: decent but certainly not great credit, no down payment, a trade in with negative equity, and last but not least, many, many questions! So we went back and forth via phone and email about what was possible lease wise versus purchase wise, new car versus used car, etc.etc.etc.... This was over about a weeks time and I never heard nor felt any pressure from George. At the end of the day, we decided on purchasing a nearly new Hyundai Sonata and unfortunately I couldn't be there for the transaction so I had my wife complete the sale and trade-in of my truck. It was at this point that we began dealing with Robin Campbell, both in person and via email. I must say that Robin, whose job it is to present financing options and get the deal done, was very sincere and intricate in her presentation of our options. I went back and forth with her on how to possibly obtain a 2nd vehicle (which we had shown interest in from the beginning) and she was as accommodating as she could be short of handing over a 2nd vehicle for free!! In the end, Robin treated myself and my wife with tremendous respect and sincerity and although we couldn't find a solution for obtaining a 2nd vehicle, we were grateful for the transaction on our used (but barely used 5,000 mile) Hyundai Sonata. I couldn't recommend George any more than hopefully my review illustrates. I also hope that you have the pleasure of working with Robin b/c she is just as professional and courteous. Two thumbs up to Heritage Hyundai of Towson and of course to Hyundai itself for making some pretty cool design changes to their 2011/2012 models...that always helps!! More

60 days ago, I bought a car for my daughter. When we went to pick up the car, it had a scratch on the back bumper. I asked the salesman Justin for a bottle of touch up paint and he said he would mail it to me. Its now 60 days later and we don;t have either the touch up paint nor the permanent plates. The 60 day temporary plates have expired so we can't drive the car. I have spoken with Justin on at least 6 occasions asking where the paint and plates were. Three weeks ago,he said he had the plates and would be mailing them that day. A week later, I received a call from Patricia at the dealership telling me to come on to get the plates. I explained that Justin had agreed to mail them to me in Massachusetts and he said he had done that a week earlier. One week ago, Justin told me the plates and paint had been sent via UPS on Tues Se3pt 13. I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see that a week later neither the plates nor the paint have arrived. When we picked up the car, Justin asked us to give him all tens on the survey call we would receive from Hyundai. I did and I now regret it. Maybe Justin thinks that because I live out of state that he can doesn't need to provide this basic level of service. I do not recommend this dealership and certainly would urge prospective purchasers to stay away from Justin. More
I am glad I waited until now to rate this dealer! At first I was elated with Heritage Hyundai. I got what I believed was a great car at an absolutely fantastic price. I initially also bought some extras first I was elated with Heritage Hyundai. I got what I believed was a great car at an absolutely fantastic price. I initially also bought some extras like the LoJack system and some others. When I got home I did some more research on LoJack and found that only one police department within 50 miles of us uses the system. Less than 24 hours after leaving the dealership I called to cancel the LoJack ($500+) which had not been installed. I was told no problem, they would be issuing a full refund for the LoJack within a few days that would go directly to the bank through which I had financed the car. That was almost 5 months ago and despite constant reminders from me and countless promises by them (including one in person in front of the regional manager), the money still has not been refunded. I drove over 40 miles to go to this dealership and I would never do it again!! In addition to the refund issue, we had the car serviced by them (first service at 3300 miles) on 10 August just prior to a weekend trip to Virginia. On 12 August the car completely died while going south on I-95 at 65 miles per hour, 300 miles from our house (only 3600 miles on the car). We still are not sure if this breakdown was the result of anything Heritage did, but luckily we were not anywhere near there and the car was repaired by a competent dealership (First Team in Roanoke, VA). When I received a call from Heritage on the next Tuesday (we had to rent a car to get home and the car took two weeks to get repaired) to see if we were satisified with the service on the 10th, I told the gentleman about our breakdown and he just said "Oh, well thanks" and hung-up. We were told repeatedly by our initial salesman that Heritage was "very concerned" with what was going on but yet they refused to do anything to help the situation. They refused to help arrange for the car to be returned to us (300+ miles) after First Team repaired it. They refused to provide assistance on the initial troubleshooting. They refused to really do anything but yet they were "very concerned." They were so concerned in fact that 5 months after buying the car and a month since the catostrophic break down, they still have not refunded my money! More

George Small is an execellent sales man his mannerism is so very professional and friendly his knowledge of the vehicles are so impressive he definently does his homework. and Darla Brown is a sweetheart i felt as if i had my own personal team. Mrs. Brown did not let me leave the dealership until i was absoulutely satisfied. Jason worked with me until he found a financier that excepted my offer. I just can't say enough about this team .My overall experience with dealership was like no other. These are the kind of professionals that every business would love to have at their establishment. Thank you Heritage Hyundai for such a wonderful group of people. More
