We bought a new Elantra without shopping the price and have regretted ever waking in their door! After being promised the “best price” and being late at night as they closed we come to find out the next day that they snug in a $997 paint and fabric protection that we told them we didn’t want. Then it took multiple calls and weeks later to get out trade in check for our Subaru Outback. These guys are the MOST crooked dealership that I have ever witnessed, and my parents are now in the market for a new Sonata and I would NEVER EVER buy from this dealership again. Be careful and buy elsewhere, there are too many other dealers who are honest and will not screw you like Towson Hyundai did to us! More
I bought a new Palisade from Jack Coco as he seemed honest and up front about everything. I enjoyed working with him as he is a professional. I've purchased from Heritage before and I like dealing with honest and up front about everything. I enjoyed working with him as he is a professional. I've purchased from Heritage before and I like dealing with local people and businesses. This is my first Hyundai so we'll see how this goes, but so far sso good. More

This review is prompted by my experience with the finance and title department ONLY. My sales experience was tolerable. I had some issues with the finance office not being forthcoming on basic questions abo and title department ONLY. My sales experience was tolerable. I had some issues with the finance office not being forthcoming on basic questions about the terms of the contract, and giving incorrect guidance on how I could make my down payment, and one question was met with an explanation of how to use Google (I was asking about specific wording of contract language, which I could not find on Google, I needed to see the contract…). I still went through with the purchase of the car, despite these frustrations. I waited for the call to tell me my license plates were ready. As the 60 days of my temporary tags came closer, I called Heritage on 1/31/26 to inquire about their status. I was told not to worry. A few days later, a pile of the concrete-like snow from this historic winter took off a piece of my bumper, and I had to take my car to a body shop. With just over a week until my temporary tags expired, I wanted to have my license plates before I got my car repaired. I called on 2/5/26, which is when someone noticed there was an issue processing the title paperwork. I then followed up on 2/6, 2/9, 2/11, and 2/12 without a full explanation of what was happening with my license plates. I was told that the temporary tags could not be extended, and that my car needed to stay off the road until it was corrected. I was given a loaner car on 2/13 and, when I asked in person, I was given a shrug and told they don’t know why it is taking so long, but I should have my plates in a week. I was given a loaner car for 4 weeks. Three weeks passed. My car was worked on at the body shop, and was almost ready for pickup. I called Heritage on 3/6 about my tags, a full month after they realized the paperwork was not processing, and I was told it would be looked into and I’d hear back by the end of the day. I never received that call back. I called the following morning 3/7, only to be informed that everyone who could answer my question was out for the weekend. After 9 phone calls, I was done being avoided and got my state senator involved, who got the MVA involved as well. Only AFTER I got the government involved did anything happen. I was eventually told on 3/9 that a mistake was made with my title paperwork–Heritage did not explain this fully to me, the MVA did. This would not have made me so frustrated if it had been corrected when it was noticed initially on 2/5/26. However, it took 4 weeks and government involvement for Heritage to take any action to correct my paperwork. I have called and emailed Heritage every day since 3/9 to make sure that this issue is resolved. It has now taken an additional 3 weeks for me to get my license plates–104 days since I initially purchased my vehicle. I had to become absolutely insufferable to spur Heritage into action. Yes, they gave me a loaner vehicle to ensure I was not car-less during this time. That does not absolve the abject failure in communication and lack of follow-through that has occurred in the last 4 months. There is no excuse for taking nearly 4 WEEKS to correct a mistake in paperwork. This situation has caused a lot of stress, and has not been solved in a timely manner. There is no fixing this situation–I can never recover the weeks of my life I have been left filled with worry, given no answers, and forced to use my lunch at work each day to make calls and demand answers. I purchased this car after a serious accident, and thought my car-related woes would end on 12/17/2025, but I was mistaken. It took 104 days, 21 phone calls, and 19 emails to correct this situation. I would NEVER recommend someone buy a car from this dealership in the future, unless you are willing to exist in administrative purgatory for months. More
Bought my 5th car and was very happy. Stan is the best salesman. He has always been able to get me a great deal that I am happy with. Don’t want to leave the rest of the team out here with our experience but I had to follow up a review for Tom, our salesman. He went above and beyond. The exact car we wanted wasn’t on the lot initially, our experience but I had to follow up a review for Tom, our salesman. He went above and beyond. The exact car we wanted wasn’t on the lot initially, but he tracked it down, sent us a video the next day, and made the whole process so easy—even though we live about 85 miles away. My wife thought I was crazy to drive that far with our newborn, but Tom’s patience and genuine willingness to help made the trip totally worth it. When we arrived, Tom greeted my wife, our daughter, and me at the door. He asked if we needed to use the bathroom or wanted a drink—small gestures, but they made a huge difference in making us feel welcome and comfortable right from the start. What really stood out: the deal we agreed on over the phone held exactly as promised. No hidden fees, no last-minute surprises, no pressure—just a smooth, honest process. Tom is not only extremely professional, but also down-to-earth, personable, and makes the whole car-buying experience fun—a total rarity. With 25+ years of experience, he’s thorough in explaining everything yet keeps the process efficient so you’re not stuck in the dealership all day. Tom—my wife Brigid and I can’t thank you enough. We feel so lucky to have worked with you and really appreciate all the care you put into making this a great experience! More

Must give a shout out to my sales rep, Stan Gabrovski, who really went above and beyond in making my experience what it was. From the management, sales, and finance, it was a truly seamless purchase! This is my second purchase with them and will hopefully not be my last when I need another vehicle. Highly recommend! More

This place get 0 STARS🌟 ! !! Do not shop her under any condition. I asked the service center director if they replace engines because I want to get a reman engine installed on !! Do not shop her under any condition. I asked the service center director if they replace engines because I want to get a reman engine installed on my 2012 Hyundai Equus. I was told one price until time to install which the price changed. The reman engine was purchase 12/24/24. The engine arrives 1/14/25. The service center assigned to me (steve) did not contact me nor replied to several voice-mails I left him. I then took the 40 min drive to get an update on my vehicle. I was told that the engine arrive but they didn't look at it yet to confirm the correct engine size etc. Two months later *after multiple engine hoist issues. I was contacted saying that the engine didn't fit. During installation I was told they broke my radiator and a few hoses.(which they said they would replace) They did not inform me at that time that the director has been in contact with a mechanic through text messages (allegedly the third party reman company) which the Third party company had no recollection of communicating with the director at Heritage Towson. The director was finesse into sending back the reman engine and my engine out my car for "specifications". There was absolutely no official documentation on the shipping of both engines.(reman and my car engine) which items over 350lbs are required to have a barcode to track shipping. I contacted the third party company to verify if the engine was grabbed by them. It wasn't and their is no tracking on neither engine. Heritage Hyundai tried to blame the third party company I used, just to find out that after they received my engine they started using the company making it no longer a third party vendor. The director took accountability for the communication issue that caused me to lose both engines. I payed for a another replacement engine with the understanding that they would take care of my engine and all the parts they shipped off due to negelace. Upon finally finishing putting the car together after 9 months, I was told I now have to pay to have the engine replaced which was now more than I was originally priced. I tired talked to the General Manager who was replaced twice in the 9 month span. ( just got 3rd General Manager) I also reached out to Corporate who Informed me that Heritage Towson is privately owned and it is out of their hands. This seems to be a norm for multiple Hyundai's. Heritage Towson tried make me pay for the rental, then when I didn't, they tried to harass me for the loaner back when my car was not finished for over 9 months. Upon paying to get my car back after paying months of car note and insurance, I receive my car with absolutely no engine oil, no coolant and no power steering fluid. The battery and alternator had to be replaced because they did not ground the alternator to the engine and the battery to the car. The battery terminal was not fully on neither causing a shortage throughout the vehicle. Leaving Hyundai I took the vehicle to a Maryland state inpection/service center, where they found out that the engine top oil pan was leaking due to being stretched out.(documented) They also found multiple bolts and screws not tighten in the engine and alternator.(also documented) Heritage Hyundai direct and current General manager insulted me by saying that I did this to my vehicle less than 48 hours of receiving the car which went from one shop to the next. Heritage Hyundai did not take accountability for their mess up. Even when they admitted it to my wife and I, they then changed up. I should have recorded the first conversation because they came back saying they never said that they would take accountability after waiting another month or two. Heritage Hyundai truly screwed me over but I will tell my story so that others will be aware of Heritage Hyundai Towson scamming customers. The best part of my experience was Toya, who was understanding and even though she was unable to make the final choice she did at least have a heart and kno More
