We had called ahead to tell them what we looking for and what we had to trade. They had the trucks ready for our inspection when we arrived. Being in a tight spot, my van had just stopped running before the Christmas holiday, I needed a car ASAP but also people I could trust when buying. Fran and Stephanie paid attention to my situation including making sure my four kids were happy and entertained while I worked on getting them a car they love being in. I did my homework and contacted several dealers and had to work a little to get the best price and still never got there. I contacted Scott and told him what I could pay and he simply said ok. I scheduled a test drive and expected to have to negotiate again and quite frankly I was on the defense already when I walked in the door. Scott made us comfortable and was a straight forward person, I never felt like I was being sold, no akward moments, like we were meant to be there. We consider Scott a family friend now, I will see him again. The end price was exactly what I was hoping for, not a penny more. The service department was the same way, family feel. As we waited our turn to see Stephanie Thornton the Finance Manager, as it was Saturday we expected to wait awhile. 10 minutes in the waiting area on a very comfortable couch, watching TV, just reading the manual enjoying the purchase, it was our turn. Stephanie was wonderful, she did everything for us. She ran everything through my bank via the computer. It was all as I expected, no hidded fees, no tricks, the interest rate and my monthly payment was to the penny. She even arrainged all of the MVA work while we were in her office. She exercised patient that I would not have had when they had her on hold. She even called on 2 separate lines to the MVA waiting on hold trying to get through and after 10 minutes we had our approval, tags, registration, ready to roll! Scott, Stephanie, and the rest of the crew there at Heritage Mazda Bel Air have a winning formula. I even received a follow up call just to make sure that we were 100% satisfied and we are. I dealt with Ahmed when purchasing my new Mazda 6. He was very friendly and he helped to get me a great deal and he located the exact car that I wanted, eventhough it was in Philadelphia! On 12/31/10 about 11AM I parked my car on the Heritage lot and walked to each Mazda 2011 SUV. I was the only customer on the lot (that I could see). After much research online, I had decided to buy a Trib lot and walked to each Mazda 2011 SUV. I was the only customer on the lot (that I could see). After much research online, I had decided to buy a Tribute. I wanted leather seats, backup camera,etc. But I also looked at the smaller SUV's. Most cars were unlocked so I got in, sat down and spent some time looking around each vehicle. I walked all around the cars - checking them out as throughly as possible by myself. I was on the lot at least 15 minutes - right in front of the main doors. Not one person came out to talk to me. The glass is tinted but I could see the men standing there, right behind the glass, looking at me. Finally, I just stood there and stared back at them but no luck. I can only assume they had sold all they wanted to and couldn't be bothered to sell one more car. So now it is a Subaru Outback for me - about the same price but 3 times better resale value. More
