My wife and I went into Heritage this week to test drive a few models and discuss various purchase options. Patrick Connaghan was fantastic. Joked around with me the entire time while I was shopping in a manner that seemed like backhanded jokes. I was clear that my budget was nothing over 20k and would like to find something under that and he pro in a manner that seemed like backhanded jokes. I was clear that my budget was nothing over 20k and would like to find something under that and he proceeded to waste my time by showing me vehicles that were in the neighborhood of 30k. He would constantly imply the entire time that I couldn't afford a vehicle at their dealership and that I was "dream car" or window shopping. He asked me what job my significant other does,, and then said that maybe he should "confiscate a vehicle for me" when I said he was a state trooper. Again, implying I cannot afford a vehicle. When I inquired about fuel mileage on the rav4 he laughed at me and said that I shouldn't act like that matters because I had initially came in seeing if they could locate an FJ Cruiser for me. He was extremely pushy about trying to sell me a RAV4, even though I had shown interest in other vehicles, and was adamant that this vehicle "met my needs." When we came back from the test drive I made it clear I was not pulling the trigger with anything today and he continued to try to push me. To spend $20k on a car with completely stained back seats. Horrible experience. I can't believe I entertained this nut for well over an hour. No way would I even consider buying a vehicle from him or his dealership. More
